So what has come of this?

Have black male writers overwhelmed the media with putting out commentaries about how this is such an important step in"representation" and how this will give little black boys, who are shunned by society and never widely "celebrated for their beauty", confidence going forward so far as self-esteemed is concerned. Did non-black media folks rally around such ideas and celebrate this accomplishment as if it was the most fucking development in recent history? I'm guessing such histrionics are reserved only for black women who apparently are in constant need of abundant affirmation.
