I can't believe that I would be the only person on this site wanting to attend the inauguration. So, again, are any of you thinking about going to the inauguration?

Actually there's a thread dedicated to this in another section of the board (Conversations between...)

No. I'm not planning to go to the inauguration. I have no desire to. I didn't vote for Obama (before anyone attacks me as some embittered McCain supporter, I didn't vote for him either. I lean towards Ron Paul).

a relative of my co-worker has booked a hotel for $750 (2 nights) in D.C., because of this historic event.

I wish i could be there..

Even if you didn't vote for the man, it's still something that never happened before, as a person of color is inaugurated

historical views =/= (crude symbol, I know) political views

People think I'm crazy for wanting to go. I'm sure I won't get a ticket, but if I did, the cost of the hotel would be well worth it, to see such an historic event!

I have no desire to go. I live in AZ, but I do think it would be fun. And I didn't even vote for him.
