This questions goes out to the people who live in LA or the surrounding areas.

Black men, what are your experience with white women in Los Angeles? Is it hard to approach one? Where in LA are WW attracted to BM? How do people view BM/WW together there?

I'm moving to LA in the summer even though I've heard that LA has few blacks now than back in the day. Does that mean LA and more women will be less accepting of black men in the future?

I'm not a BM, but I never had a hard time meeting BM. I don't go to clubs anymore, so I'm not sure of the latest hot spots, but if you plan to go to a lot of social spots, you don't need a WW come hither vibe. Just be yourself and approach who you find attractive. I personally feel that we're one of the best cities for IR dating. I mean if someones going to give you shit, they'll give it to you. You can't stop that, but I think it's more commonplace to see IR couples here. There's no shock factor. I don't know about having less Black folks, cause I never heard that (must be some of those gangbanger rumor stories). There's a lot of Black folks out here. L.A. is a very big and spread out city, so for me, I can't pinpoint where BM will be, but for you and WW, they're everywhere out here.

this should be a short post.
I'm from LA, not living in SF.
I have found that its a non issue in LA proper. Things get funny once you go outside of that to the suburbs. I never had an issue getting a date from a woman of another race. ACTUALLY my dating diet was super diverse, now that I am in SF its restricted to black and white girls.

Dissagree with getting funny in the LA suburbs. I live in the suburbs - see IR couples all the time in the burbs and never see a glare or what not.

I say anywhere in the LA metro area, your fine.

Da best place for booty calls. Not hard to approach 'em if you go to the right nightclubs and bars. Interracial couples and dating is common in LA.

LA is laidback and a sexy place.

I'm not making booty calls, so I have no idea.

How can a whole city be the mecca of booty calls? A lot of people from all over make booty calls.

I noticed people cared more about material possession and money more than anything while I was living there. You could walk hand in hand with whomever you wanted and not get a single look. But money and wealth was HUGE.

Where exactly did you live and what places did you frequent that you got that idea from?

Los Feliz & Burbank. That was my experience.

You have to understand that "Hollywood" is out here. So money and wealth are stigma that goes along with this city. I'm surprised you didn't say anything about looks and people being shallow. I think all of this has to do with what I said initially. The average LA citizen isn't about all that. A lot of times it's the transplants that come here thinking they have to be about all that to fit in. I mean we have a lot of rich people here, but they're not the majority.

True, and I don't disagree with you, but that was just what I noticed. I'd see people driving as I was passing by in a brand new Lexus, pulling into a shack for a house. People seemed to be about face value there. The IR couples I did see didn't seem to have that same pressure on them I'd seen in other places, including one of my roommates at the time. But again, that was just MY personal experience with the town.

Yeah, but I've known people in other cities who drive a nice ride and live with their Moms or have a roommate in an apartment. That's not necessarily synonymous with LA.

There is an underlying shallowness here, but like I said, Hollywood is here.

Wait, I'm confused. Earlier, you said you could walk hand in hand with someone here and not get a second look, yet with your post now, you said there is pressure here.

    It's fixed now, I mean't to say

"The IR couples I did see didn't seem to have that same pressure on them I'd seen in other places,"

Okay, that makes sense now...lol Thank you for the clarification.

I've been in situations back in the day where we got called "Jungle Fever" or the dudes got called a "Sell out", but that was around 91-92. Other than that, I haven't experienced anything else. I always feel more comfortable IR dating here than in any other city and not cause I live here, but because I know it's more accepted. My best friend lives in MD/DC and he thinks out there it's more accepted.

I would like to know which parts of LA has more women from other countries, like feminine-type European or Brazilian women.
