Just to be sure... what do you find most attractive in BM?

So I recently conducted a poll amongst my white female friends whom I know date black men (heck, some of them have dated me! :)).

Many of them stated that something they were initially very attracted to in BM was the complexion of our skin itself (Duh! Right?). It's something that they really kept hammering on about - they seemed to go googoo over dark, smooth skin. This made sense to me. It confirmed a lot of what I have read on this board.

The thing is though, us black men, well - we come in all sorts of shades of dark. We come in light mocha, dark sandalwood to charcoal - and pretty much everything in-between.

When I brought this to the attention of most of the ladies I asked, it didn't really seem to register as a valid point in thier minds. Almost like drawing a blank.

As I see it, something(s) most folks who are identifiably "black" will have are common facial features. It's what I would call an "African" face. The nose, the lips, the forehead etc. are all fairly distinguished.

So what I'm wondering is, whether what many of the women were fantasizing about was really skin complexion or merely the "look" of BM. Again, I know each and every individual is different in this regard, but when most WW think of BM they may have a sort of template in thier mind of what he looks like.

So I'm here to ask you WW of the board, do you think it's the "look" you crave or the skin complexion?

Just to illustrate, I have a few Sri Lankan friends who are darker than me, but I don't think the women who state that they like a man with a dark complexion have these fellas in mind when they mention it.

    Or what do you think?
