They're upset because they know that McCain faces an uphill battle for the White House and that most voters have (currently) made up their minds to vote for Obama.

If they want to be mad, they should focus their energies on Bush, who has pissed all over the Republican brand name and made it look inept with regard to sound military decisions and economic stewardship.

Holy shit! Oh.my.God. There are no words. This is the most unbelievable thing I've ever seen. Where do these people come from???

And who wanted to reach through the screen and slap that woman who kept putting her face in the camera?? What a complete and utter moron. These people have absolutely no interest in reseaching the candidates. And the scariest part is that they can vote without proof that they're informed about their decision. :smt018

I just hope that these types of voters (whomever they vote for) are in the minority. This truly scares me.

    You seem surprised...

These are exactly the kind of people who vote republican in the south. And this is exactly why palin has been giving the types of speeches she has.

"He's not like us"..."who is he?"..."he doesnt love this country the way you and I love this country"...

Palin (thru the orders of mccain) was trying to appeal to the "racist" white vote.

All white people (or black for that matter) are not as decent as you.

I actually was surprised. Looking back, I don't know why I should have been. Nothing should cease to amaze me anymore.

I'm looking forward to this election being over. This is not showing a good side to Americans.

And thanks for the compliment. :smt058

    You're welcome.

Im glad this election has happened because hiding people who have these type of feelings or pretending that they dont exist doesnt doesnt mean that they are not there. Blacks, hispanics, asians, and MUSLIMS have to work with and sometimes FOR people like this. (Honest white people have to put up with them too, but they arent demonizing other whites.)

This is true. You make an excellent point. However, it still doesn't make me proud to be an American right now.

    EXACTLY!!!

People seem to conveniently forget that it was George W. Bush who got us all into this economic mess in the first place. I'm almost shocked at how people have acted like the last 8 years didn’t even happen. How could one man screw the country up so bad, and have people turn a blind-eye to what he has done?

What’s even more amazing is the people in that video. It’s as if people would much rather remain ignorant than to educate themselves regarding their own country’s leaders.

And I gotta give props to Bookworm616 & Jellybird for their comments. You two made some very interesting points in this thread and I wasn’t gonna try to quote them all. I’m glad that somebody has common sense after what I just saw.

Not only do these ppl seem utterly brainwashed and yea, stupid, but they seem very scared. But what are they so scared of? It's a very tough time for America and during such times it is easy to incite populism. Ppl are insecure about their welfare and the Republicans feed on that. But this is really unnerving... even the rally seemed stupid and plain. It’d be dangerous to let such people rule the free world, that would have disastrous consequences not only for America but the whole world.

And what are they scared of? In one of these McCain rallies, there was an episode when a 16 year old white girl stood up and said "Obama terrifies me". Why does he terrify you - cuz he's black? Or cuz he's gonna have policies that will be more socialdemocratic and equality based? You know, when she said that.. I was like, how can it be that a young girl in 2008 still has the "black brute" stereotype in her head? And especially apply it to a man who's NEVER been aggressive and macho during his campaign. He has been softly eloquent most of the time. What are they so scared of??

That having a black president will change the social structure of America?

It is more scary to think about a prospect of ppl like the Republican team running the biggest Western nation. And ok, McCain is respectable, but come on – he doesn’t understand the current world. He doesn’t see how the world is changing. While Obama is highly educated and has an insight into various cultures and understands how the world is moving now. A terrorist? How utterly stupid and brainwashed do you have to be to even consider that? The ppl in the video are scary. I pray that America is sober enough to make the right decision.
