Latino and Black Males Competing for White Females

Is there such a thing as latino and black males competing for white females? You see the two groups competing for jobs, political power and social acceptance why not for white females. Anyone have any data on this one since both groups seem to be at loggerhead with each other. We know that when it comes to latinas the two groups can stir friction between them since latino males do not like their women associating with black males. Anyone have any input on this one? Or is this just another case where it is not to be talked about for fear of controversy?

 

Interesting,actually i havent seen this go down too often.Latino males seem to be interested in their own women alot.
I do agree with you that alot of latino males are insecure about their females getting with black dudes.Ive seen latino dudes who wear urban clothing,are advid hiphop fans,and say "nigga" almost every sentence,yet have the nerve to complain about their females associating with the dudes they imitate.

I do think,however,that latinos do have a slight advantage over us.Alot of people look at them as a "buffer" between blacks & whites.Also,that whole salsa "latin spice" streotype thingymajig may appeal to more of a variety of women.At the same time,we got that r&b & jazz vibe which alot of older females like also.Hmmm dont know.

But all they seem to do (primarily the young generation) is copy blacks.In their music,slang,swagger,etc.The only latinos who seem to do their own thing are the chicanos from L.A (where blacks and chicanos beef alot)

 

living in philadelphia, I see that a lot...

you rarely see latinos dressed like emo-rock types, or punk, or whatever...

they usually dress very urban (in other words, black, like a rapper...), with baggy jeans, caps, etc..

for the most part, i've been pretty friendly with latinos and latinas, and never had any animosity from them.

i never had to worry about a latino or latina calling me "ni**er," in an offensive manner..

 

I don't think anyone is competing for white females unless they look at it that way.

 

There is going to be competition on the WW with booty. Latinos should get a grip on brothers going after their women.

Personally i like the idea of competing for what one wants. From what i hear many women like men who are determine to get what they want through sheer determination and wit.

 

I don't think there's any competition 'cause it's enough women period to go around.

Where I am:

There's a group of skinny Mexican kids in the neighborhood who walk around looking like the Ramones

A lot of the Latinos here prefer BW, including two in my circle.

And of course there is BM/LM competition for WW with booty, which is why I'll take a WW with a normal-sized ass thank you (been there done that).

BTW, Lantino men do nothing for me even though I'm surrounded by them here in Florida. Sigh, unfortunately for me, I've ended up in a very "vanilla" town, only 2.3 African-American.

You know, I almost reacted in anger and revealed more about my personal life than I am interested in revealing on a public forum. However, congratulations on getting me that riled up, few people can, as I'm usually pretty level-headed. To be honest, other things are on my mind today so I cannot give you all of the credit.

Suffice it to say, you do not know a DAMNED thing about where I would and would not live, where I have lived, or why I am where I am.

There isn't much competition...but I think it's for different reasons. Most WW that are really attracted to Latino men aren't too interested in Black men from what I've seen. They want a little "flava" and (most of them not all) think LM give them that...with less of the social stigma that they believe may come with dating a BM.

WW that are into BM...(the ones I know) would never go with a LM...they'd rather date WM...I'm not sure why this is...but most women that I've seen of any race rarely are attracted to both BM AND LM.
