he is the only Black candidate being supported by his party. The Democrats have abandoned Meek in Florida.

 

First of all, The democrat party supports Meek. So lealan Jones is not the only person supported by his party. We got the support of the first black president of the united states that held that seat as a democrat and Bill Clinton. Secondly, meek has as much of a chance as lealan Jones. They are both polling below 20%. They aren't going to win.

 

You have to realize that they haven't abandoned Kendrick Meek at all. The issue here is that he's simply a weak candidate. His platform is good, but compared to Crist and Rubio, he's a virtual unknown. For him to even acquire that kind of popularity, he'll have to stump them AND convince the people in Florida that he's the better candidate.

The only good that can come out of it altogether is Meek getting exposure from the media and he's a more nationally recognized politician. He will lose the Senate race to a TEA Party asshole, but he'll get his due next time.

 

That's not the problem. He has been stumping for at least 2 years and is very well known in Florida. The problem is some of these so called democrats want to pretend like the mid terms don't count. We have more democrats than republicans but they don't go out and vote like the republicans. The cubans and old people vote consistently. They are mostly republicans.

Clinton called and asked him to get out the race. In both parties blacks are asked to fall on the sword.
