Rebecca Ann Dawson, 34, of 700 Stockyard Road who is listed in Harnett County Jail records as Rebecca Arnold, was arrested by Lillington Police Officer R.D. Bass after she allegedly attacked Kevin Russ during an argument. "It was a domestic situation and she attacked him with her hands," Chief Powers said. "There were no weapons involved." Reportedly Spit On Officer Chief Powers said Officer Bass also charged Ms. Dawson with resisting arrest. "She resisted a little," he said. Chief Powers said Ms. Dawson spit on the officer while being arrested. Ms. Dawson was arrested on four charges. She faces felony counts of assault causing serious bodily injury, malicious conduct by a prisoner, injury to personal property and malicious castration. Ms. Dawson made her first court appearance Wednesday. That same day she posted a bond of $50,000, according to jail records. According to the Administrative Office of the Courts Web site, she is due back in court Jan. 17.
This is disgusting and disturbing. I've been hurt by men, by that I mean physically and emotionally violated, and I've never gone beyond thinking about such a thing. I leave justice in the hands of the gods, and move on with my own life. It takes a certain kind of crazy to do something like that.
