It is a dog-eat-dog world....even for a chairman that raised a record amount of money for the party......and even for a chairman who was instrumental in getting a record number of new republicans elected to the congress.....It is a dog-eat-dog world.....

Not surprised at all. If Michael Steele isn't "white" enough to be RNC Chairman then I don't know who is.

I'm not a Republican but, like yourself, am aware of the goals they want to to achieve in November 2012. Other than the painfully obvious, they want to seize control of the Senate, permanently extend tax cuts for the rich, and to employ their terminology "starve the beast" of government. Starving the beast almost never means needed cuts in military spending, but administering severe cuts to Medicare, Social Security, pension funds, etc.

Steele is an unusual guy but I'm going to call him likeable. I'm going to be fair to the Republican Party too and say that during his tenure Steele did not exemplify the qualities that I believe best represents the party as it currently stands. With the Tea Party in tow, the party has miraculously become whiter, more anti-government, vitriolic in tone, and even more irrational. Given these shifts since 2008, Micheal Steele is not the best candidate to be the face of the party.

    Ouch.

    1. He WAS a Democrat.
    2. He supports Affirmative action.
    3. He's on the fence with abortion.

Yeah, he panders to the right. He is likable, but in a pathos sense.

Without question, Michael Steele should buy Obama an expensive dinner at best. He has had his job for the last 2 years simply due to a black president being elected. The media can't say it, and neither is anyone else supposed to, because that would simply be wrong. Yet we ALL KNOW IT. It is probably political strategy at it's best. When you can do something that is CLEARLY racially induced, yet can't be called on it, it's simply brilliant.

What we are seeing now was all in the plan 2 years ago. After a two year span, when they (the GOP) make a serious attack to take control of congress, they will have to turn their attention back to top goals. This negro could not possibly be the leader of the RNC going into a presidential election, so the man he has been grooming for the job all along should now take over.

Steele could be the stupidest nigga alive if he didn't see this coming. He's fucking stupid anyway for being a black republican (my opinion). SMFH.

American Politics is some dirty shit....

Well, Michael Steele was nothing more than a tool. Now we are going to see what the GOP is really about. He is a fool just like that stooge, Clarence Thomas.

And conservatives balk when you suggest they're predictable.

Perhaps what many see as needed within the black community is the Don Corleone solution to get rid of traitors and enemies within and as was also the case in tribalism in old Africa before the slave traders (Arabs and Europeans) won over the tribes because of "the traitors". Or is this too politically incorrect to say anymore?

Good in theory but the black community has degenerated to such a point that you can't really tell who's a traitor. To the law-abiding black, the dope man is the traitor. To the ghetto black, the bourgie is the traitor. To the blue-collar, the college man is the traitor. To the BW, BM who date white are the traitors. And so on.

As far as I’m concerned we’re either the crab trying to claw our way out of the barrel, or the resentful crabs pulling back the one crab trying to get out.

That's a good way of looking at it. But the crabs who are trying to pull you back don't even realize they're doing it. Or maybe they do.

"Dr". Keyes is a real joke of the GOP right next to Steele. I will repeat again those congressmen will never get hookups in the party.

As usual, much ado about nothing:

"Steele's defeat ends his Chairmanship at two years, which is on par with the average tenure for RNC Chairmen throughout history.

Steele continues a recent trend for RNC chairmen, as none of his five predecessors served more than two years: Jim Gilmore (2001-2002), Marc Racicot (2002-2003), Ed Gillespie (2003-2005), Ken Mehlman (2005-2007), and Mike Duncan (2007-2009)."

Instead of acknowledging the accomplishment of anotha brotha who happens to be a republican, we get the typical fear-mongering and race-baiting from the uninformed.
