Satyr,do you think that Carly and Meg would had gotten the Latino vote by drinking tequila? I wondered if Carly drank a lot of it after her defeat?

I never bought Steele as a leader. I never thought he had real party. I felt like Lurlene Wallace had more power over Alabama then he has over the GOP or the rightwing at all. He was the epitome of a token and the saddest part is he honest to God in his heart did not realize it. I could feel that he believed he had power..

He apoligized to rush limbaugh.. He couldn't do any better then lt. gov in maryland.. I did not vote for Obama in my first pres election in '08.. I known how my grandparents are, I know Blacks are very conservative. If the Rep. party can not get Black votes its because they are not trying to and dont want to. We need new parties in America and I think an party more inline with the INTERNATIONAL RIGHT would do a lot better in getting Black support..

And I sent my congrats to the new reps but where are the Black senators at? We have had 20 or so and 16 were appointed.. I can't respect that.

As far as the Repubs needing Black votes, in theory in places like Miss. and Alabama they should but even where Blacks are in great numbers they never use their power..

The Solid South went to Goldwater in 64 because of the Civil Rights Act and never went Democratic again. To this day the GOP goes for White votes in places like Mississippi,Alabama,Georgia, and Louisiana. They don't give a rat's butt to the homeboy who wants to run for Senator in their states. Besides, they rather have someone dark and foreign like in Louisiana and South Carolina. For Senator or Governor of Florida a Hispanic(White Latino).

When r Black people going to learn that you can't vote your way out of this?

If Wall Street can buy 2 parties....you best believe they can buy 3.

I like that. So true. We are fucked with no place to go. We are slaves to the masters.

The Republicans can't but help NOT to hide their racism.

Remember the watermelon patch in the White House?

For the life of me I can't understand why black conservatives continually stand by the republican party, unless they don't see themselves as black people . . . just white folks with black faces.

It is being reported Steele will not run for his office again. He is out. So much for diversity.

I'm not surprised they kicked homeboy out. They got what they needed from that token.

What makes this even more upsetting is that Steele will continue to be loyal to the very group of people who kicked him to the curb. Not only would that make him appear to be gutless, but a glutton for punishment as well.:smt009

    THANK YOU,

and anyone who thought Steele was anything more than a token was fooling themselves. He was brought on as a counter to Obama when the Reps thought they needed a darkie. As if bringing on a new Negro was going to sway the black vote. And, in some cases it worked.

Now that they have solidified their base around hate, racism, and rants against the poor they don't need that black face anymore. He's a joke and the sad thing is he doesn't know it.

I actually feel sorry for the brutha.

    Oh. Bobby Jindal anyone?

The GOP will never sway the Black vote not in my lifetime. Steele is like a Uncle Rukus who loves pain to the max. As for those homeys who are elected to Congress they get ready to serve two years and get out by Jan, 2013.

And here is the problem. I believe there NEEDS to be room for African-Americans on the right side of the dividing line; however, as long as it is supported and pushed forward by race and discrimination, it will never and should never happen.

True, the guys at the GOP make so many mistakes and not learning from the past. There are no Rockefeller Republicans anymore and I'm talking about the brothers Nelson and Winthrop who involve Blacks in the party back in the day. Oh yes Nucky Johnson that pol boss in that show Boardwalk Empire, yeah he was crooked but, treated the Blacks well in Atlantic City.
