NBA Lockout

It appears that we may not have a basketball season for the 2011-2012 year. The news is in the newspapers, TV and on Google. The season starts on November 1st and currently there's still no compromise/negotiation on what to do.

We may have to wait until the Winter of next year for a basketball season.

 

I cannot express in words how much this pisses me off. I am not an NFL, MLB, nor much of a collegiate football fan. I am a basketball fan and these assholes are fucking with my number one sports outlet.

 

Yea I'm back and forth on if I wanna totally be done with the NBA or not. I think it's crazy how selfish and delusional both sides are.

I want to totally protest but I freaking love the league so we'll see.

I wonder how many ppl will not have any interest anymore if/when they start playing again?

Thats what I've been saying but I've been watching some of the classics on NBA TV lately and I dunno...

Even with inflation, slave income falls woefully short of NBA players. I'm sorry, I just cannot subscribe to the correlation between slaves and multi-million dollar professional athletes. Hell, the average 9-5'er faces the same thing.... busting his ass for a CEO who is bringing in 6 or 7 figures while barely making 50k /yr themself..

It's confirmed, there will not be a season this year.

EA Sports also has ceased production of releasing NBA Live 12 also.

 

Yea its getting ugly now. They are reporting rifts among the players and separate rifts among the owners.
