Eagles home opener is against the SD Chargies. I WILL DIE if this string isn't broken lol! Trust me...the entire US of A will be hearing me screaming for the Eagles on 09-15-13! Goooooooooooooooooooooooooo Eagles!!!!!!!!!!!!

**I can always count on the Chargies to shoot themselves in the foot come punch time, so I would bet this string is not upheld**

That's right, MNF opener is at Fedex. So @ home, it's Chargers. Hmmm, SD winning it all? Doubtful. :smt081

Wait, aren't you in/from San Diego??

    LOL, @ the Chargers buzz....

You know though, you can cheer your lungs out for my team :), but it's not who wins, it's who THEY PLAY.
While most of the teams that won beat us in the opener, the Ravens lost (by a point). Granted, they were winning until the final 4 mins and the replacement refs were missing calls so my Birds were able to make a nice lil' comeback, but they still lost. Guess we will see if this pans out...lol.

UGH...you're right :( I have to put all my hopes in the fact that the chargies choke...it's just what they do...so winning it all...HELL NO (*heaven help me [and all the san diegans I cross paths with] if I'm wrong*)!

And yes, I'm in san diego (have been for years), but I'm from LA...home of the Raider Nation!! I consider myself one of the biggest Raider fans around, so living in SD is quite the challenge during football season. I'm sure all the band-wagoners around here will be shoving that article in my face in the coming days because surely if it's in print, it MUST mean the Chargies are going all the way this year :smt069

    Surely, lol.

My former roommate was from SF and was a huge Raiders fan. So we roomed during the horrible Eagles meltdown with the Bucs that led to the Raiders-Bucs SB. It was tough, I tell you. She was hysterical  and so was I:smt022

Alas, I got behind her team for the SB event and she had us drink out of Raiders cups, and she 'gifted' me with a Raiders SB t-shirt :? (which I still have, lmao). I did console her when they got crushed, though. :smt056 Fun times.

Thanks to Philadelphia Eagles, we already know which team will win Super Bowl XLVIII
Could be worse. At least it's not the Pats or the Cowgirls.

Speaking of cowgirls isn't it about time for all the Super Bowl talk
Dallas is awful one playoff win since Clinton was in office but somehow every year peoe pick them grates my nerves

People pick them because they're jaded by the image of what the cowboys used to be, by the ridiculously fancy stadium, and by the strong desire to "prove" that Romo is a good qb. Fact is, Romo is mediocre at best. There are 10 qbs I'd choose in my fanatsy league before him.

I don't mind all the Super Bowl talk (unless it's about the chargies)...lord knows I spout off at the mouth about my Raiders! Btw...RAIDERS ARE WINNING IT ALL THIS YEAR!!!! A girl can dream can't she?

I'm sorry! Honestly I just wanted to get the new schedule out, so I figured in order to keep everything together, I'd start a 2013 thread. Plus, let's be honest.....I'm impatient and grasping at straws trying to get this new season started!

Nothing to be sorry about mami. I actually love the fact that we have so many female NFL fans here on the forum. It aint just a boys club anymore. lol

The Jags are in a similar situation as the Raiders...there's just too many needs on the roster. Y'all need a decent qb for starters. Gabbert and Henne surely aren't going to carry the Jags into post season. Unfortunately when your team is struggling in so many areas, it's going to take a few years to get (and grow) decent players. I've been going through it with the Raiders for 10 years so I feel your pain! I always go into each season with such high hopes, but they're usually crushed by week 5 or 6 :(

YUP YUP! You already know it. And you know we love you back, Tony! :freehug: Not to mention Bookie kicks ASS in FF! :)

It's anybody's season, mediocre Gnats prove that. #whenyoupeak. You'll no doubt take Smith for your first overall. Good luck.

Reading this thread on a Sunday afternoon (while watching ESPN) really makes me wish football season would hurry up and start already. I hate waiting!

Tampa basically just stole away Revis from the Jets. The Bucs get Revis for a 1st this year and a condition 3rd or 4th next year. Meanwhile signing Revis to a $96million contract but get this $0 guarenteed. If you know anything about NFL contracts its all about the guarenteed money.

Looking at the schedule you just never know what team is suddenly gonna pull it together and be the surprise of the year. Remember if patterns hold at least 5 or 6 teams that made the playoffs this last year wont this year.

Early looks with free agency and retirement
AFC - Balt - Out, NE - In, Den -In, Hou - In, Ind - Out, Cin - In
NFC - SF - In, GB - In, Atl - Out, Wsh (healthy RGIII) In, Minn - Out, Sea- IN

Just from this early look I have 4 definite outs and if RGIII isnt healthy you can add washington to that list.

As for a surprise team dont sleep on the rams of all teams they were 7-8-1 last year and went 4-1-1 in division last year.

I agree with most of your ins/outs...except Indy. I think they're in.

As for sleepers, I'm interested in seeing what KC can do this year. Fresh start with Andy Reid coming in, new qb in Alex Smith, inked Dwayne Bowe to a 5 year deal...they have potential. It'll be hard with Denver in the same division...but ya never know!

IDK...last I read it was still up in the air. Personally, I want to see Pryor start. He's been with the team a minute now, he offers a level of confidence that matt can't as a new Raider, he's mobile, he's alert, he's thirsty...and he's hot (let's be real!).
