Hahaha you do sound bitter baby :smt043 You sound like me when I talk about the chargers ;)

Honestly, if Seattle's D figured out Denver's hand signals, shame on Denver for not catching on and figuring out a way to adjust. Watching for patterns and changing defensive calls accordingly isn't cheating...Seattle simply paid attention and Denver didn't adjust.

That's the way I see it. It's not like what the Patriots did a few years ago when they were accused of actually videotaping people, this was just an example of really smart players literally figuring out the opposing team's offense. It actually makes a lot of sense because it does explain how the defense was able to completely shut down Denver.

Bingo. It's actually pretty cool that Seattle's D was that observant...really speaks to how much they wanted the win.

Nah, I think that Seattle just outright beat Denver plain and simple. It's hard to think that just a few years ago, the Seahawks (and the NFC West) were the laughingstocks of the NFL.

this is what i think...Richard Sherman decided that Russell Wilson was getting a bit too much attention:smt022 after the BIG win so he needed to stir the pot back to himself

Watching film on your opponent is not cheating. In the NFL they call that preparation and film-study.

Lemme guess? You wanted the broncos to win huh? :D

^^^ So no other team could crack the film, huh..yeah ok, lol

Sounds about right. People get addicted to/drunk on the attention. Sherman got a taste of the spotlight and he is hooked. :smt025

Peyton Manning & the hapless broncos got exposed. That game-film is now available to the remaining 30 teams and will be used as a formula to stop the so-called "greatest offense in NFL history".

I remember back in September right after the broncos season-opener win against the Ravens when all the pundits & prognosticators declared Denver the world champs and were predicting an undefeated season for them.

It serves them right to get boat-raced in the Superbowl the way they did.

Getting exposed is when you are a phoney. Peyton isn't a phoney, is he? Anyone would get creamed if they knew your play calls. Just a little odd that Peyton allowed that to happen, as experienced as he is.

Then again, call me a tad cynical since my Eagles were robbed of a SB ring by a cheating Patriots coach who gave his Defense the insider goods. It took years to emerge..so forgive me for waiting this one out for a bit now before I deem this 'the greatest defense in NFL history', as well.

I don't think it's really odd at all. A lot of times we forget that football players don't always fit the stereotype of the big, dumb athlete who cares more about sports scores than test scores. It takes a lot of intelligence to play at a high level and it's entirely possible that the Seahawks were able to figure out Denver's offense and stop it cold. Opposing teams figure each other out all the time.

As for Peyton, he may not be a phony but for the time being we can definitely take him out of the conversation for GOAT.

I'm not saying Peyton Manning is a phony, hell he's already got a yellow HOF blazer with his name on it. It's the broncos that were fraudulent and couldn't deliver in the game that mattered. So to paraphrase coach Dennis Green; the broncos aren't who we thought they were.

I also believe that if the 49ers had somehow won the NFC title game then they too would've beaten Denver.

Given how Denver played on Sunday, I'm inclined to agree with that. Even Sherman thinks that the Niners were the second best team in the country, which says a lot given how intense that rivalry is right now.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I've been a proud Jacksonville Jaguars fan since their inception in 1994. Seeing the broncos lose the way they did made my year.

Aww were you actually rooting for denver? Did they break your poor little heart?:p

Hey, I fully admit that the Falcons suck this year lol. But with a new o-line and d-line coaches I think that we're well on our way to not being a raging tire fire of a team this season.

Exactly. Denver would STILL be running behind Colin Kaepernick after he broke off one of his patented long runs. And the Niners defense is just as physical as the Seahawks. It probably wouldn't have been a blow-out but San Fran still would've handled Denver in a similar fashion.

I personally know the stereotype isn't always true - that was not my point. You can be real smart and cheat too, you know. Not saying the defense didn't figure it out, but having seen Peyton adjust, that he didn't use alternate plays is odd..Or did he, and the Hawks (miraculously) in sync, adjusted too?

Since Denver is NOT my team, I don't know their (season-full) offensive intricacies intimately like I do my Eagles, so maybe our Bronco's fans here can tell us if Peyton's plays on Sunday were mixed enough to the point of easily being able to confuse any defense...Or they were not, and thus handed the 'easy to figure out hand-signals in the first half'/plays to them.

Im not saying Denver weren't beatable...but by so much in today's NFL/Superbowl? When you see the scores in the last 10 years alone, there isn't too much variable - even when Belichick was cheating.
