darnit Jrem!! i'm trying to catch up here man! i can't stop the bleeding if we're picking the same winners. LOL  REVISION: Jacksonville over Tennessee Detroit over Arizona Dallas over NY Giants (even though i hate the Cowboys!!!!! )
Im real late on this but here nonetheless: CAR over ATL - Carolina has the most offense and defense in this match up. GB over MIN - Adrian Peterson will be limited this time, greenbay has too good of a defense to not come up with a scheme to stop him. KC over DEN - Man broncos suck this year....thats all I have to say. priest holmes gets warmed up on them. MIA over BUF - UPSET PICK ALERT!...Every team reaches it's boiling point and I just feel this is miami's week. Can't say year though. NO over STL - Oh when the saaaints!! go marching in, it is safe to say they are back, especially after drew brees's air performance last week. PIT over CLE - All this talk about cleveland being a better team since the last showdown will make the steelers even more focused....and plus I think they found joey porter's replacement but a little better than porter I think. JAC over TEN - I think this will be titans wake up call that they need to get better in their passing game and better in utilizing this talented quarterback's skills. WSH over PHI - Philly is done. These birds are cooked. CIN over BAL - Cincy has ravens number. DET over ARZ - Detroit wins again until they meet another superior opponent. NYG over DAL - Tony Romo will grow on facing good defenses but he is not ready to beat one yet. CHI over OAK - Oakland could of been a good team this year, but their QB mix up screwed that up. IND over SD - Close game, but peyton manning doesn't lose back to back like that...Nope...don't see it happening. SEA over SF - such a weak division, so damn weak They will make the playoffs every year and they have for the last 5 years.
I was starting to worry after looking at ESPN so let's do a run-through : Well, the Panthers are still winless at home this season and give me a very, very good start  0-1 Okay, fellas, i know Tom Brady so far has been THE MVP but if we were to take him (or Randy Moss) out of the equation, Brett Favre would without any doubt be getting the nod. He may be old, but the man still can ball. God, he split Minnesota apart. 1-1 The Broncos held the Chiefs to 67 rushing yards and that's why they won the game. Kansas City really are a ground-oriented team who are not all that effective in the air. 1-2 JREM, even you will admit that the Saints got played. Naw'lins only had 7 points in 3 quarters. Rams quarterback Marc Bulger completed 82 percent of his passes and threw for 2 TDs. Defensively, things were even worse, thanks to Will Witherspoon. I admit that i of all people should be the last to diss another person's team  but there isn't anything about my team that isn't clear by now. 1-3 The Steelers won by the skin of their teeth. They would have dropped the game if not for a stellar first and second quarters. 2-3 I really hate to say this as i like Vince Young as a player, but the man still has a long way to go. His 20 yard TD pass to Justin Gage was his first in 115 pass attempts. He looked sorry as hell against an already fierce Jacksonville team who completed outplayed the Titans. The game was already over from the beginning of the fourth quarter. 2-4 Wow, Donovan McNabb actually showed up. Gee, what is the world coming to?  2-5 I swear, i'm never going to watch the Bengals or Ravens again this season. I don't care no mo'. Jesus, that game had to be the worst i've seen all season. All the Bengals' points came from field goals. 3-5 Big ups to the Cardinals for outplaying a Detroit team who are beasts on defense. They really deserved their victory. 3-6 You know, when Bryant changed his pick from New York to Dallas, i had a feeling he was right. I wanted to do the same but didn't want to seem like a copycat. Plus, i was hoping that the Giants' defense would prove me right. Well, it seems like Nu'York got a taste of their own medicine. DeMarcus Ware got 10 tackles and a sack. That seems like the exact kind of thing that the Giants do. That wasn't the case this week. 3-7 Adebayo Ogunleye came through for Chicago (Naija in da house 8)). Good performance from him. Bryant, "Sexy Rexie" didn't do too bad, did he? 4-7 Okay, i was wrong, the Chargers aren't done for the season. Well, they kinda are as they aren't winning anything but man, they still have something to prove. Darren Sproles was a man on a mission. His return was just, sick. In fact, the man returned both a return and a punt for a TD. I know i had said that the Chargers' would need to come through for them to win and they did. Defensively, they were just as impressive. Manning was intercepted 6 times. That's the first time that has happened. However, the Chargers' running game wasn't as stella and that allowed Indy to come back into the game. Honestly, this game was so over that i went back to playing Madden '08 (which conincidentally, i was playing against Indianapolis with the Patriots in the 2009-2010 season). Good game overall. Now this should have been fit for a Monday night as opposed to SF-SEA. 4-8 Buffalo Bills are on a four game winning streak. Quite good for a team that looked totally helpless at the beginning of the season. 5-8 Jesus, this was my worst week so far. I don't even want to speak on it again. Let's leave it at that  .
Well, whatever Favre was on - keep on taking it! What a blow out, eh?? I am so looking forward to seeing how they handle the playoffs! What I say Bryant? I kept my promise!
hahaha...yes, you were right about the cheeseheads. They're playing fabulous ball right now. I can't believe ol' grey beard is still playing like that after all these years. Did he find the fountain of youth or what. He should pass some of that to Steve McNair, cause he looks about done lol. I'll be rooting for the cheeseheads to whip the kitties in their remaining games so my Bears can quietly slip into the wild card spot. Go cheeseheads!!!
Man Cris, it's about time you went off the deep end, and allow me to catch back up a little bit. And yeeeaaah, man was i happy when the Sex Cannon came into the game to replace Grease balls!! Whooooo hoooooo!!!!! It feels good to have a little bit of Rexual healing again!! hmmm...that sounded really gay, but i don't care!! Go Rex!!!!! Lead us to the promised land!! Go Bears!!!!
Man, Cris, talk about having a baaaaaad week!!! well, at least LSU is number one again!!! Alright, Seatlle leads 24-0, they are going to kill those hapless Niners, so my record: 6 and 8!!!! My worst, worst, worst week thanks among others to Peyton Manning and Drew Brees throwing INTs left and right, Joey Harrington throwing TDs (he is not supposed to do that is he?), Thanks to Marc Bulger getting healthy, and Romo and TO just staying RED HOT!! 6 and 8!!! that sucks!!! but well, I'll try to bounce back next week!!!
RESULTS FROM WK 10 AND PICKS FOR WEEK 11(11/18&19) My record for week 10(11/11&12) was 6-8.That brings my amended record overall to 77 and 67. My picks for week 11(18&19Nov.)are: PHI,TB,BAL,JAX,HOU,KC,DET,GB,MINN,CIN,PITT,CHI,SF,DAL,TENN&BUFF as my upset special.
Hey JREM, so we both had bad weeks (we both had 6-8 to be exact). Not so bad then. I have to agree with you on Drew Brees. A few weeks ago, he nearly split the Seattle "D" into two and what happened against Rams, he throws INTs? Nonetheless, he's still amongst the best QBs in the NFC. Post our scores, JREM.
I made up a little bit of ground going 8-6, thanks to my revised picks. I only have a few weeks left to move up the rankings, so i better keep it up! 8) Jrem, let us have those updated scores man!
Man, even my man Kenny had a tough week...record for everyone was 6 and 8, EXCEPT, master Bryant who went 8 and 6 and basically is the winner of the week!!! The pressure is ON!!! Here are the updated scores, last week is in parentheses: Kenny: 90-54 (84-46) JREM: 86-58 (80-50) Cris: 84-60 (78-52) Bry: 83-63 (75-55) Wed: 77-67 (71-59) Alright! and after this post, I'm already giving u my picks for next week! THE GAME IS ON!!!
Alright folks this is what is going to happen next sunday It is a 16 games week, so it's MONEY TIME!!! Tampa Bay at Atlanta: Bucs are rested and the better team Cleveland at Baltimore: Is this still an upset? I mean seriously! Arizona at Cincinnati: Man, this is a toss up, Bengals at home! Carolina at Green Bay: Vinny vs Brett...battle of the grandfathers...another win for the cheeseheads! New Orleans at Houston: Saints bounce back on the road Kansas City at Indianapolis: Wow, is Peyton going to be mad or what after throwing all these INTs? poor Chiefs, they are catching Manning at the wrong time! San Diego at Jacksonville: The Chargers are who we thought they were...a pretty inconsistent team! Oakland at Minnesota: Upset...Culpepper plays well enough just to piss his former team off!!! Miami at Philadelphia: Can you say 0 and 16?? NY Giants at Detroit: Hmmm...how is Kitna feeling about that 10 wins prediction now? Giants are pissed and it is going to be a sack fest!!! Pittsburgh at NY Jets: Well...let's just say, the J-E-T-S are D-O-N-E!!! Washington at Dallas: Cowboys are the cream of the NFC...gosh it hurts me to write that but it's true! St Louis at San Francisco: The Rams are actually going to have a winning streak this year!!! Chicago at Seattle: Hmmm...Sexy Rexie will show us why he isn't the answer! New England at Buffalo: Another prime time ass whipping dealt by the Pats! Tennessee at Denver: Hmmm...will Vince Young finally wake up? Not that night!!!
I know man, but I finally got a good lead 4 game lead over you, yowas right on me for most of the season. Im putting my picks up late night saturday night I need more time Im still going after that undefeated week
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Atlanta Hawks - Sure, the the Falcons have won two straight but still, the Bucs are a better team on a whole. Cleveland Browns vs Baltimore Ravens - I might change this later if i have a change of heart, but as far as i'm concerned, Ray Lewis' no-holds-barred attitude towards his coach won't change much. New York Giants vs Detroit Lions - The Lions are 6-3, with Jon Kitna playing some beautiful football and the Lions look destined for the playoffs. But they got smashed on the road last week and the Giants are among the elite defensive teams in the league. Miami Dolphins vs Philadelphia Eagles - Don't remind me. Oakland Raiders vs Minnesota Vikings - Why do i get the feeling that Adrian Peterson won't come through?Or his efforts would be in vain. San Diego Chargers vs Jacksonville Jaguars - Okay, last week was great and the Chargers schooled the Colts, but enough is enough. LaDainian Tomlinson has been overshadowed by Antonio Cromartie in the past few weeks. The Chargers play good defense but the Jags do it better. Kansas City Chiefs vs Indianapolis Colts - Both teams are banged up, with some of their star players out - Larry Johnson is out again and the Colts have lost Dwight Freeney for the season -. Peyton Manning will be a man on a mission of vengeance. Arizona Cardinals vs Cincinnati Bengals - Chris Henry is back. And life goes on ........ Carolina Panthers vs Green Bay Packers - Even though Packers' fans who think they can do the impossible and win the Super Bowl definitely are smoking crack, Brett Favre is definitely a legend. I'm not jumping of the Favre bandwagon, but i tell it as i see it. New Orleans Hornets vs Houston Texans - The Saints' D will wake up from their slumber after being torched by the previously winless Rams for 37 points. Did y'all know that Reggie Bush has averaged less than 4 yards a carry? Not too impressive to me. Pittsburgh Steelers vs New York Jets - The Jets are just too pathetic right now. On a lighter note, on Madden NFL 08, i took control of the Jets in the offseason of the 2009-2010 and moved them to Los Angeles. Cost me a lot of money (and fan support) though. Chicago Bears vs Seattle Seahawks - After last season's playoff defeat to the Bears in the last minute, as the saying goes, revenge is sweet and the only way for Seattle to make it sweet is by crushing Chicago at home. And thus, "Sexy Rexie" is back at his starting spot, with the Bears' winning streak ending at 1. St Louis Rams vs San Francisco 49ers - This is probably the first (and only time) this season a team has been an underdog (at home for that matter) to a 1-8 team. Jesus, i feel really sorry for the color commentators for this game. But then again, we might see a hailstorm of points seeing as both teams are clueless defensively. Washington Redskins vs Dallas Cowboys - Okay, i like the Redskins. They're a decent team with some superb players and they work hard, but Terrell Owens is showing signs of his old self and honestly, even the most die-hard Pats fans must be somewhat concerned. New England Patriots vs Buffalo Bills - I'm sure that the winning streak will end soon, but surely, it's not against a lacklustre Bills team. Tennessee Titans vs Denver Broncos - One of the biggest myths of the year has been that Vince Young is a superb QB. Bullshit!!! What has been keeping this team is defense. Now, Vince is my man and all, but dude can't pass - yet. In a few years time, he'll be good. He needs to learn how to throw the ball better. He has 4 TD passes and 10 INTs which is not that good. However, the Titans' defense should be able to keep them alive in this game. P.S. Am i the only one who thinks that all the teams that passed on Terrell Owens and Randy Moss must be looking in the mirror and realizing that they made one of the biggest blunders in the history of blunders? Yes, we heard it all i.e. they're selfish, cancer to a team, uncooperative, spoiled, cocky blah blah blah. But unless you're on some strong heroin, you can't deny that T.O and Randy Moss are the best receivers in the league right now. I bet it would hurt to see them advancing in the playoffs.
It's definitely unrealistic for me to try and surpass Kenny, who has been kicking our butts for most of the season, but i'll take a moral victory in trying to surpass Cris and Jrem at least. Let's see if i can do it! Tampa Bay at Atlanta The Falcons are just that bad. I don't think i need to say anything else, really. Cleveland at Baltimore I just don't see Baltimore scoring enough points. Cleveland is on fire with that offense. Cleveland will win an ugly one in baltimore. NY Giants at Detroit I should be rooting for Detroit to win this game because they own the tiebreaker over my Bears in the wildcard race, but i'm actually pulling for the Giants to win instead because i feel like the Lions have a tougher schedule, and are more likely to suffer a late season collapse. So hopefully, for my Bears sake, Giants win. Arizona at Cincinnati I think the Bengals find a way to win this one. The Cardinals are one Kurt Warner injury away from being a terrible team. Carolina at GreenBay I hate to say it, but the Cheeseheads are for real. They're kicking butt. I would NOT be surprised if they play Dallas in the NFC championship game, and actually make it to the super bowl. They're playing well. New Orleans at Houston I think Houston will win this game. Seriously. The Saints can score, but they can't defend ANYBODY. The Texans have a good offense with Andre Johnson, and they should be able to score some points. I don't know if the Texans will have enough to stop the Saints offense though. I could be wrong on this pick, but like i said, i'm trying to catch up in the standings, so i have to make one or two more upset picks than i usually do, so this is one of them. 8) Kansas City at Indianapolis The Colts are depleted, much like my Bears have been! haha but they're still better than the Chiefs who are starting a rookie quarterback for the first time. San Diego at Jacksonville I like Jacksonville, especially with Garrard coming back from injury, but i think the Chargers are going to win this game simply because the AFC West is up for grabs, and somebody has to win it right? lol Oakland at Minnesota I don't see an upset here. The Raiders are just that bad. I saw it first hand last week. If you guys think Rex Grossman is terrible, take a good hard look at Josh McCown, because that guy is REALLY horrible. Vikings win despite not having Adrian Peterson in the backfield. Miami at Philadelphia Wow, the Dolphins are really trying to get the number one pick now that they're starting Beck. They might be the worst team of all time. A record of 0-16 is DEFINITELY a real possibility. Pittsburgh at NY Jets Steelers won't lose, especially not to the Jets. Washington at Dallas If Shawn Taylor was playing, and if Santana Moss was healthy, i would say MAYBE they had a chance, but because neither is the case, i really don't see them winning against Dallas. St. Louis at San Francisco The Niners are horrific. And Alex Smith is a complete Bust. Rex Grossman may throw interceptions, but at least he can make all the throws on the field. Alex Smith can't make any of the throws, PLUS he throws INTS. They probably won't win another game this year unless Frank Gore somehow wins a game by himself. Chicago at Seattle C'mon, you guys should know by now that i'll never pick against the Bears under any circumstance. Well, unless they're playing against the Pats or Cowboys lol. C'mon Rex, play loose, play free, and win us this game against the Seachickens!! New England at Buffalo This will be an entertaining game for about 4 1/2 minutes. Nothing else needs to be said really. Tennessee at Denver Yeah, i'm not sold on Tennessee in this one. Denver should win. Well, i hope they win.
Man Iam late and it IS late or morning gotta hurry up so I can get to bed. TB over ATL - I was going to say my upset pick, but byron leftwich isn't playing so never mind back to the bucs. CLE over BAL - Cleveland is still a good team, they just ran into a better one with the steelers. NYG over DET - New York bounces back, lets see that lions offense attack a pissed off defense. HA!! MIA over PHI - I know this one hell of an upset pick, which is exactly why Im picking it as my upset pick of the year. OAK over MIN - Adrian will be rusty after coming off that sore knee. JAC over SD - Jacksonville will be too much for them, never thought I woud say that about the chargers offense. Colts over KC - They only lost last week because vinatieri (*coughin*) Choked! GB over CAR - Greenbay rolls over them, their defense aint what it use to be....Isn't that a song. NO over HOU - They woke up when time ran out on them last week, for crying out loud they have too many weapons to be doing this. Wake up saints!! PIT over NYJ - J-E-T-S JETS, JETS, JETS.....L-O-S-E LOSE, LOSE LOSE......Unless steelers give this one away too, but I think they learned from them last two losses and if they beat them they have learned and new england better watch out. CHI over SEA - Grossman has learned his lesson, and he will EXPLODE....Then after about three games implode again  . STL over SF - Man who pissed in their coffee last week  san fran are bad. DAL over WSH - Just like the steelers and pats dallas owns their division, enough said. NE over BUF -        But seriously...No. TEN over DEN - The problem with vince is he didn't pump up his brain muscles for the NFL. The difference between College ball and Pro ball is like the difference between Chess & Checkers....And he obviously haven't grasped that, DBs are cracking up at this man. I know that is harsh to say, but Vince is my boy and has the chance to be the best and he doesn't see that.[/b]
I'm hella tired but let's run through this thing....... Byron Leftwich is a waste. Honestly, the Cleveland-Baltimore incident was the most bizarre i've ever seen. Some of the Baltimore dudes were almost getting in the shower   ...... that is, until they were told that the game was not "yet" over. I was laughing my head off, more so when they eventually lost. The Giants did their thing against Detroit. Eli Manning (finally) came through, completing 29 out of 28 passes for 283 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, star DE Michael Strahan had three sacks and six tackles. I'm telling you, the Giants are for real. Hmm, when Donovan McNabb plays well, he gets hurt. When he doesn't get hurt, he screws up. Seriously, this dude is an enigma. And Miami are sorry as hell ...... Daunte Culpepper was sacked four times, fumbled twice and was intercepted once. I don't think it can get worse for a QB than that. Honestly, i couldn't be any happier we traded that guy. Guys, LaDainian Tomlinson is really fucking up. This is the fourth consecutive game in which he has failed to reach 100 rushing yards. What is also noteworthy is the fact that the Jaguars remain a game behind the Colts. The Colts were really lucky. They could have made it 3 consecutive defeats if not for Peyton Manning's sneak and knees - all because Kansas City had no more timeouts left. Real close!!! However, i believe they'll improve when Marvin Harrison returns. Even though it's inevitable, i really do not want the Bengals to trade Chad Johnson. Fuck Marvin Lewis, Ocho Cinco gives his best; he just has lousy teammates and that's why they aren't winning, not because of Johnson's "bad work ethic". Seeing as the Panthers only converted 5 of 13 third-down opportunities, i really didn't expect them to win and Green Bay torched the hell out of their dumbasses. JREM, your Saints really struggled against Houston, didn't they? They managed just 144 yards of total offense in the second half. Andre Johnson returned from injury to torch them with 120 yards and one TD on six receptions. He did well for real. The Steelers allowed seven sacks on Ben Roethlisberger. That ought to explain why they lost this game. Steven Jackson is a star. He's the reason the Rams have won their last few games. The 49ers, on the other hand, need to fire their offensive coordinator because he clearly isn't doing his job well. The 49ers were only 3-of-14 on third down conversions, thereby giving the Rams a 10 minute possession. Ugly!!! They, alongside the Dolphins and Raiders, should get ready for the lottery. Bry, even you will admit that Matt Hasselbeck outplayed Sexy Rexie. Just look at the man's stats: 30 of 44 passes for 337 yards and two TD passes. Sorry, can't touch that  . Washington's usual steady defense got picked apart by Dallas' superb offense. Dallas converted on 8 of 13 attempts and overcame a 3rd-and-19 to score on a 31-yard touchdown pass from Romo to Owens. And what was Jason Campbell thinking with that forced pass to Antwaan Randle El? Jeez. Honestly, after that Roscoe Parish TD when he blazed the CB for the 6, i was started to think that Buffalo would come back into it. That is, until Tom Brady proved why he will win the MVP. I went to bed eventually. However, i must give credit to the Pats' offensive line. They did their job well. Also, did you know that the Bills' have the heaviest offensive line, averaging 320 pounds? lmao. Good rebound from last week. I went 12-3 this week and with tonight's matchup (of which i still stand by my pick), great week.
RESULTS OF WEEK 11 AND PICKS FOR WEEK 12 I went 7-9 for week 11, which brings my amended season record to 84-76.My Picks for week 12 are: DAL,IND,TENN,SEA,NYG,CAR,TB,CLE,JAX,KC,ARI,CHI,BAL,PITT,DET,PHI is the upset special.
Man, what a week...strange things happening in the NFL...field goals bouncing off the upright then the back post, teams scoring 56 points, the Colts winning by 3 against KCat HOME!!!! Vinatieri missing filed goals left and right!! man!!! Well, here are our scores this week guys: Mister Kenny-g, the leader of the points, took a little stumble this week an went 10-6! Bryant, Laydeez and myself went 12-4 Our main man Wedlock went 7-9!!!! WED, c'mon man, stop picking against the Pats, or picking San Francisco man!!! Alright, here are the new standings (last week in parentheses) Kenny: 100-60 (90-54) JREM: 98-62 (86-58 ) Cris: 96-64 (84-60) Bry: 95-67 (83-63) Wed: 84-76 (77-67) Guys it's going to be Thanksgiving week, which means NFL games starting on thursday already!!! so please submit your picks before Thursday
Alright, as the games are starting on thursday already, here are my picks for week 12! (Wed already gave his!) Green Bay at Detroit: Packers are on a roll, Lions are slowly coming down to earth! Man, HGH is good for old QBs!!! NY Jets at Dallas: Well, how did the Jets beat the men of Steel last week??? That won't happen in the Big D Indianapolis at Atalanta: The Colts sure are struggling without Marvin Harrison, Clark and Ugoh...but the "Dirty Birds" are not a challenge to them! Seattle at St Louis: I would like to pick the upset, but I think the Seahawks are hitting their stride! Washington at Tampa Bay: alright, Washington can't go on a three games losing streak with Campbell playing much better than earlier this season, so, I think they win this one on the road! New Orleans at Carolina: Saints pretender or contender? I say PRETENDERS!! And how about sending Jason David back to Indiana??? Tennessee at Cincinnati: The Titans are too talented to keep making mistakes and dropping passes! Cincy is already thinking DRAFT for any kind of defensive player! Houston at Cleveland: The Browns seem to have the breaks going their way now! and that offense is for real!!! Buffalo at Jacksonville: The JAgs are so underrated...and they have one the best record in the AFC!!! they win this one, the Bills will still have the Pats' whipping hangover! Oakland at Kansas City: KC almost downed the Colts in Indy...the hapless Raiders won't stand achance at Arrowhead! Minnesota at NY Giants: Adrian Peterson is still hurt? well then... San Francisco at Arizona: SF can't score, and the D isn't good either...ouch! Baltimore at San Diego: At least at home the Chargers always show some pride...of course it helps that Baltimore isn't that good! Denver at Chicago: Well, the Bears are who we thought they were, since the beginning of this season, which is: not that good! And Denver, slowly is finding its groove! Philadelphia at New England: I mean, should I even comment? Miami at Pittsburgh: Ricky returns...but the men of steel are mad...sorry big fish! Alright, hopefully I can make some ground on my man Kenny-g!!!
