DISCLAIMER: This thread will be purely for edutainment purposes only.

    ---------------------------------------------------------

There's no question that people believe in ghosts and may have, in their earlier years, had ghostly experiences. Because of that, the fascination of the unknown and unexplained encounters with these paranormal entities draws great interest and even capitalized on the phenomenon via media or historical attractions such as the Myrtle's Plantation in Louisiana.

If any of you have any stories about any ghastly experiences, please do share them and do not be afraid to speak your mind on the matter. This thread isn't meant to act on skepticism. But rather to further delve into the realm of the paranormal and allow those who are adamant of their encounters to speak on them comfortably to the community.

Leave the skepticism out this thread. So, I hope you all enjoy.

P.S. If you want to include videos out of fascination of your love for the paranormal, then please do.

    Educational + Entertainment = Edutainment.

Earliest use of the word was in the late 1940s by Walt Disney.

And a little comforting..to know that she loved me that much. I don't know how it works but there is so much more than we are aware of, but there is no way to prove it.

    1st Encounter
You probably know this already, but remnants of the spirits often remain in torment if they died an unspeakable way. To release the girl, perhaps re-experiencing the scene of the crime through her period and solve that mystery that could have helped her and bring her to the other side.

    2nd Encounter
What sort of weird noises were you hearing? And furthermore, do you recall the area being a little too cold or too hot?

    3rd Encounter
I have nothing to say, but my condolences goes out to you.

    1. Hmmmm, perhaps she found a little cloture along the way.

    2. Was it as cold as Alaskan weather cold or just winter cold?

    3. It's a compelling story, but I'm glad to see you're still alive and maintaining composure.

Living in the islands we have a lot of really weird unexplainable shit happen.
The last most tangible was when I was doing home Heath care. I had gone out to the garage to finish my coffee on a small break. Only two other ppl were home with me: my client (who was infirm and asleep) and her son who was with me in the garage refinishing wood.
We hear the sound of a bucket being overturned to the left by the door but beyond it so its out of site. The son immediately gets up to go investigate. The bucket that had tipped was a ten gallon paint bucket that was full of water (he had gone netting earlier that day). The bucket was completely turned upside down with all 10 gallons of water coming into the garage and running out to the gravel.
It took us all of two seconds from the time we heard the tip for us to get to the bucket and nothing was there. We thought it might have been an animal or person but its doubtful that an animal would have tipped that much weight and we would have heard the sound of footsteps on the gravel.

    Obake for sure.

What does obake mean? And secondly, what other conclusions could you draw from the whole thing? Isn't there some history behind this island relating to the paranormal?

    Obake is ghost in japanese.

there wasn't any other conclusion we could draw. No logical explaination remained.

    Thats why it was creepy.

What about weather conditions or perhaps a stray that may have exerted enough centrifugal force to cause it to "tilt"?

It's an interesting thing. But better not to revisit it, yah?

Nope. We debated everything we could concerning what it possibly could have been.
    nothing fit.
