    Anyone have better information than I'm finding on the web about the protests on Wall Street? I hear everything from a couple of dozen to 50,000, I hear internet access is cut and cell phones are spotty, and that a lot of police are surrounding the protesters.

    I'm also seeing ZILCH on major media, and this has been going on for three days now.

    Thanks for the heads up. This is the first I'm hearing about it. Great idea but wrong place. The should be in DC

    Since Wall Street owns both the media and the government, it's getting very, very little coverage. I'm told local NY stations have a bit on it, and that there are some twitter feeds covering it, but apparently no one gives a damn.

    Here's two links which might help:

    something has to be done to get these mothafuckas to listen

    sad that i've seen NOTHING about this anywhere..it's like a mainstream media blackout

    the hell with politicians making campaign promises for re-elections and not backing them up....it's time for the people to make sure they do their fucking jobs

    The organizers had hoped for 200000 protesters, word is they only had about a thousand.

    They were 'blocked' by NYPD from disrupting Wall Street.
    You'd have an easier time organizing a protest in from of the WH than doing something grassroots and activist along the streets of the financial capital of the world.

    Here's a link to slides from the protest on Huffpost;

    I didn't see one story with photos on television when this happened, even on MSNBC. Not surprised.

    When Big Business owns Wall Street, the government, and the media, it's not surprising. I read internet access had been cut, and that the cell phone service was spotty.

    You can bet if there were 100 Tea Party protesters, the media would have made it into a huge big hairy deal. I am so very discouraged.
