Get this, I have a profile on a dating site, in the header of my ad I specify that I am looking for black men.

So today Mr. White guy sends me a message

Grrrrr I just want to blow up his inbox with nasty emails but I will refrain. I told him the only sad thing is his attitude and to not ever respond to my last email.

chi...i have had the same thing happen to me with on-line dating...the white guys are always trying to rain on my parade...so what i have started to do is i just write them back and tell them i am flattered by their interest but i gave up pink a long time ago...they fall for it every time...some need clarification others try to tell you that they aren't pink...

don't give it up just yet...there are some great guys out there...

argh! That is frustrating, Chi! I've had the same thing happen to me online. It's like they just don't understand that it's a preference! Hell... it's ok for guys to state exactly what they like ("I prefer slim blondes") but when a woman (who they would not be attracted to anyways, let's say a curvy brunette) isn't into them, it's the end of the world. Actually... I'm sure it would be ok if we just weren't into them personaly. It's the fact that we PREFER black men overall that is the major offence!

I'm really tired of this kinda crap! (and apparently I have it easy here in Canada!)

no what would I do on a German website??? LOL no serious, I do plan to stay in the US so a German would be rather difficult to pull off ;-) The only German in my marriage will be I and maybe a "pretend" German hubby when we role play (LMAO was that TMI???) ha ha haaaa :lol:

I think that particular dude had control issues and of course is a racist. I am sure he likes his "wifey" to shut up, not talk unless spoken to and that kind of deal.

 

It seems like these ignorant fools just wouldn't go away. Quite frankly,i've had wayyy too many experiences with them (not me as such, my exes) that i could pen a memoir about it. I'm sure i do remember telling you guys about a guy at a store who said to my fiancee (who's hispanic, not even white) that she's too cute and "good" for a black man. It was a good thing i didn't hear it myself.

On a more serious note, some folks have got to realize that they do not own the world nor does the world owe them anything. I'm not saying this out of hatred of white men as some of the most fascinating people i've known happen to be white males but it seems like this ideology of white (male) supremacy permeates everything they do. Some of them cannot even deal with the fact that any white woman will ever consider a non-white man. Yet, it's perfectly normal for them to fetishisize (and date) Asian women, as well as Latin women. I'm sure you know that Hollywood perpetuates this idea the most. It isn't uncommon for light skinned, attractive women of color to be paired with white men (in fact, it's a fast track to success in Tinseltown) but there is a better chances of a gay, hairy Cambodian terrorist winning the Nobel Peace Prize than Reese Witherspoon or Scarlett Johanssen be paired with Will Smith in a romantic movie.

I don't even want to get into the complexities of this issue but at times, it makes me go crazy. I don't even know if any of y'all have seen this episode of Tyra Banks' show where she covers interracial relationships (she's been in a few herself). Unlike Oprah, she treated the black male/white female couple nicely like the other counterpart but the message didn't dawn well with some of the audience members. One guy (i remember) told the white girl not to let the black guy hold her like that and that she was too cute for him. 'Nuff said.

Now enough of my ranting. :lol:

 

I can't ever remember getting hate mail like that on dating sites. Some people are just losers period when they send crap like that.

 

Chigirl I know some of those German dating websites have some brothers who live in the States who had lived in Germany or speak German. I know there more than just the White Germans on those sites. When I was in Berlin years ago I saw a postcard of a brother wearing laderhosen. Anyway I do hope to find the brother who can treat you right.
