The fact is progressive candidates aren't winning elections. You can't change the system if you can't get into office.
I've heard Bernie bros tell me that if you give voters the REAL thing instead of a corporate, moderate Dem, they'll vote progressive over Republican every time.
    Apparently that's not the case.
I hope this current evidence suggests even if Bernie had won the nomination there's no guarantee he would have won the general election.

Dems don't have the luxury of dividing into separate factions. In order to win in 2018 and 2020, we have to vote for the nominee no matter who it is.

I'm being completely honest. Why should the "Establishment Democrats" support Berniecrats who trash them and try to tank them? Where's the Our Revolution PAC to support the far-left Berniecrat candidates? If the Berniecrats have the winning message, why are they losing? These are all simple questions. Instead of buying more houses, Bernie should help fund his people. Socialism for thee, $1M book advance and 3rd home for me. Hilarious how far-leftists want it both ways. The evil corporate DNC owes you nothing.

Losing is winning to Bernie Bros. Corbyn lost in the UK, too, but they were cheering in the streets. They're not running to win, they're running to punish the Dems for putting up the 1st 2-term black prez and the 1st woman presidential nominee, and not giving their white savior a coronation even though he lost the primary by 3.5M votes, never released his taxes, and bombed in his New York Daily News Editorial Board interview when they asked how he was going to pay for his platform.

Steve Bannon out as White House chief strategist
    MEGHAN KENEALLY,Good Morning America

Steve Bannon has resigned from his role as White House chief strategist, ABC News has learned.

A source close to Bannon told ABC News the resignation was effective on Aug. 14, exactly one year after he joined the Trump campaign. Trump had grown increasingly frustrated with Bannon, according to one senior White House official.

Bannon has clashed with virtually every top official in the White House. Atop his list of in-house detractors are senior adviser Jared Kushner, national security adviser Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster and the new chief of staff, Gen. John Kelly.

One of McMaster's first moves was to remove Bannon from his seat at the National Security Council, a move that angered Bannon. And his appointment as the council's chief political strategist was hugely controversial when it was first announced via executive order at the start of the administration.

Over the weekend, McMaster refused to say whether he would continue to work with Bannon.

The former executive chairman of Breitbart News joined the Trump campaign last August. He would become known as a fearless and critically influential adviser to the president.

On Tuesday, the president told reporters at Trump Tower that Bannon was a "good man” and “not a racist.”

"I like Mr. Bannon. He's a friend of mine. But Mr. Bannon came on very late. You know that. I went through 17 senators, governors, and I won all the primaries. Mr. Bannon came on very much later than that," Trump said before adding, "but we'll see what happens with Mr. Bannon."

Bannon is the latest high-profile aide to leave the White House. On July 21, press secretary Sean Spicer resigned, followed by Chief of Staff Reince Priebus. White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci was fired a few days later, serving just 11 days in that role.

Bannon, backed by billionaire, prepares to go to war

Steve Bannon's next moves will be all about the billionaire Mercer family. I'm told Bannon, who visited New York this week, met with Bob Mercer and together they will be a well-funded force on the outside.

Bannon has felt liberated since it became clear he was being pushed out, according to friends. He's told associates he has a "killing machine" in Breitbart News, and it's possible he returns to lead their editorial operation.

A source familiar with Breitbart's operations told me they would go "thermonuclear" against "globalists" that Bannon and his friends believe are ruining the Trump administration, and by extension, America.

Watch for Breitbart's Washington Editor Matt Boyle to be a central figure in this war — which has already begun — against White House officials like HR McMaster, Dina Powell, Gary Cohn, and Jared and Ivanka.

MSNBC anchors shut down guest who lies on air about Trump's job creation numbers

‘Why do you continue to say these things?~~ Ali Velshi

"On Friday’s Velshi & Ruhle, the financial journalists were interviewing The Trump Factor author Brad Thomas about the economy, when they both had enough of his narrative.

After Velshi pressed him on “pedaling this myth that Donald Trump is responsible for this [stock] market,

Thomas said the president had already created over a million jobs since he took office in January.

The hosts wasted no time abruptly interrupting for the second time.

“Donald Trump is not even close to being the largest job creator in the first six months of his presidency,” contended Velshi. “There are four recent presidents who do better than him.

Why do you continue to say these things?”

Secret Service says Trump’s travel, large family have depleted funds to pay agents

    The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
    10:09 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, 2017 National/World News

What happens if the Secret Service can’t afford to pay its agents? Those agents might soon find out.

The director of the Secret Service, Randolph “Tex” Alles, told USA TODAY that more than 1,000 agents have already maxed out their salary and overtime allowances — allowances that were supposed to last all year.

Alles said the service must protect 42 people, including 18 Trump family members. Under the Obama administration, that number was 31.

Adding to Alles’ woes is a recent exodus of agents, thanks to travel and work demands.
