A white woman, about 50 years old, was seated next to a black man on an airplane. Obviously disturbed by this, she called the air hostess. "Madam, what is the matter," the hostess asked. "You obviously do not see it then?" she responded. "You placed me next to a black man. I do not agree to sit next to someone from such a repugnant group. Give me an alternative seat."

"Be calm please," the hostess replied. "Almost all the places on this flight are taken. I will go to see if another place is available." The Hostess went away and then came back a few minutes later.

"Madam, just as I thought, there are no other available seats in the economy class. I spoke to the captain and he informed me that there is also no seat in the business class. All the same, we still have one place in the first class."

Before the woman could say anything, the hostess continued, "It is not usual for our company to permit someone from the economy class to sit in the first class. However, given the circumstances, the captain feels that it would be scandalous to make someone sit next to someone so disgusting."

She turned to the black man and said "Therefore, Sir, if you would like to, please collect your hand luggage, a seat awaits you in first class." At that moment, the other passengers who were shocked by what they had just witnessed stood up and applauded.

    Urban Legend.

However I must add almost everytime that I fly, I encounter some kinda rudeness or racism; how about the rest of you brothers ? In 2 weeks I'll be travelling to Atlanta, I will post whatever happens (if any) in this thread. :x

Mercifully, I can count on the fingers of 1 hand, the times *I* hadda put up with that kinda stupid fuckin' shit....

Does it surprise any of yaz if I tell ya that they were almost ALL whilst flying WITHIN the U.S.A. aboard airliners with an AMERICAN crew and clientele???

    ALL....with the exception of 2..

An' if I may query, what WAS the airline .. or AIRLINES in question that you had problems with?

Take it from me, as a filmmaker, Yours Truly just MIGHT be able to use that kinda DAMNING EVEIDENCE **AGAINST** them....

I've never had any trouble flying, in fact I was on AirTran on a business flight in December and I was treated very well.

I've never had security issues in airports either so I guess that goes to show you how diverse the black experience can be.

    HOWEVER!!!
In our understanding of racism, I feel that is the one thing that unites black people and goes to create the so called "black experience".
So although - I've not had any of the problems you've had brother Jayklen - I totally understand you.

And that's something that other people cannot understand.

    TWA

No wonder TWA went out of business in 2001. I was onboard TWA flight one time and there was this rude stewardess a BM comes to her wanting somethng I'm not too sure if he wanted a pillow or his favorite magazine but she angrily said to him "we don't have it" and the look on her face was like get the fuck outta my face !!!! she also treated me similarly, I did file a complaint against that bitch.

In my opinion southwest and AirTran are the best.

Sad. And I guess it's the "luck of the draw"....as my one & only flight on TWA was with the NICEST (And VERY attractive) Blond stewardess (I was flying from Cleveland to Minneapolis in 1994)..

The SAD thing is I dunno where she may be (i.e. what airline she now works with.. Probably AMERICAN, the company that bought them out..)

The SADDER thing is....THAT **CUNT** that YOU had to put up with....could very well ALSO be elsewhere....if she hasn't been fired for conduct unbecoming....

Nevertheless, as far as THAT airline is concerned, chalk it up to a Five-Letter Word:

    KARMA!!!!!

You don't fuck over anybody and not expect to get fucked back in return!

    I can't vouch for AirTran...but SOUTWHEST RULES!!!!!
