He tries to invoke a male-determined concept of femininity which went out of date at least 80 years ago, compares a bit of gentle ribbing to domestic violence, and Disney will fix that???

This place is hilarious tonight. :D

I think this discussion is getting a little off point and everyone is misunderstanding the issue. No one is calling WW soft and weak or "easy." I personally don't think women subscribe to certain behaviors based on race also. The point is that BW are quicker to offer "constructive criticism" on AVERAGE. Yes I know plenty of WW who won't hesitate to "check a brotha" but they are less likely to do so. Most WW will offer advice to men they know to some extent but some BW will tell a man whom they've only seen for five seconds what his flaws are and how to fix them. Most people who don't believe this need only to walk down the halls of any school or food courts of any mall and hear my sistas playing "The Dozens" and "scoring" on people (mostly brothas). It goes like this..."you so ugly...when the doctor saw you after you were born he slapped yo' momma." Another example is...."you so fat...they run the Olympic marathon around yo' stomach and they only run one lap." I know that sounds childish but I've seen guys get made fun of in just that manner. Even a guy who apparently has everything going for him will get made fun of by some chicks. Many BW though are really nice and many WW enjoy giving their opinions on guys so that's all a moot point. What many WW consider "opinionated" and giving their input to guys they don't find particularly desirable...is not really all that harsh to most BM. :smt067 :smt063

I know exactly what you mean, thechosenone. I remember when I was going to school, this BW with a group of other bw's came past me and she said I was ugly and all the girls with her laughed. Now this was a group of pretty ugly to average bw and the one who talked about me was really ugly. I don't know what their problem is with me.They were the first girls to call me ugly because alot of girls in that school flirted with me and asked me out. The majority of the girls who flirted with me and asked me out were ww,aw,hw who were cheerleaders and other good looking girls. That's an example of how some of these bw's hate can get. I could have responded to this females but I'm bigger then that and didn't feel like getting into an argument with a bunch of bw. I have no problem with BW but alot of the ones I've met seem to have some problem with me.

that was meant as a joke, i hardly find asian women attractive maybe a few but more the exception than the rule. but i stand by everything i said in that post. like i said different strokes for different people, if you want a man that likes being undermined all the time then good for them. im sure theres men out there who like that sort of thing. personally it irritates me, so i understand where people like the threadstarter are coming from, if you dont like the man dont date him, it would be stupid to meet someone you didnt like then spend the rest of the time your with him complaining about whats wrong with him or "constructive criticism". rather just go somewhere else and look for someone else more compatible.

    Exactly.

These guys speak the truth about a lot of the rejection from black females, but for the most part, they tend to exaggerate it. I have had pleasant and unpleasant experiences with black and white women, so I know how both scenarios of acceptance and/or rejection can be.

Also, The Chosen One makes perfect sense out of all of this, as usual. Maybe some of the men are exaggerating, but it's not like what they say isn't the truth ( WHICH MOST OF IT IS), but at least they accept the opinions of white and black men and women who may disagree with it. I noticed that a lot of white women who disagree instantly with what black men say about the rejection of black women, are usually the ones black men have the hardest time with, since they feel obligated to defend and sometimes imitate black women, irregardless to the truth about the rejection of black women, which is illogical, in my opinion. It's not like we have to stick up with every white man who either turns you into a feminist, or makes you decide to 'go black', now, do we?

I get what nilan is saying, and he couldn't be more clear, so there isn't anything to debate with him about, after all, he pointed out a few times over and over again, that there are no hard feelings between him and black women.

No, but there is a world of difference between 'going black' because you happen to prefer black men, and doing the same because you've had bad experiences with white men and have turned to black men as a default/alternative. I've had bad experiences with black and white men, like you say you have with all kinds of women: love is never perfect and sex even less so.

True, but I was just giving a personal point-of-view, based on what I have read in this topic.

Date interracially because I feel socially more comfortable with women of other races, cultures than my own.

Date IR because of my faith

Date IR because I was raised in Interracially mixed environment

Misstress sounds cool, give the poor a hard time too, just like the black men

Never, I guess. my comment ws that I thought it was cool that you give men a hard time and challenge them. the way I believe we should treat the poor--a hard time(ha ha0

My antenna goes up when I hear over and over from a black man how he was rejected and now has nothing but hatred for black women. I guess it's easier to forgive outsiders than those from the same group. These things happen in families too. In my experience those who claimed to have been so mistreated turned out to be the biggest SOBs you ever wanted to meet. It made me feel they were looking for white women to dump on since they believe a lot of hype about us being weaklings. I have a relative married to a black woman, and it's shocking to hear that someone like her can so easily be dismissed as a ghetto rat when she's far from it. I would have no problem acting like a black woman using her as a role model.

Although I've had problems with bw for some reason. I never used that as an excuse to date anyone. I've always dated all races of women but get rejected more by bw. I'm not an sob, playa, etc but that has been my experience. I have no problems personally with bw and you will never hear me generalizing bw or showing any hatred towards bw.
