Do you think there is some sort of correlation between BW having too much attitude & being a strong bw?In other words,do you think that one needs to have more attitude,to become strong?
I was on another message board, and a black woman has said that she was saddened that black men say that "BW have too much attitude" as their excuse for dating interracially, but that "attitude was needed to raise you"(talking about single mothers raising kids).I know one thing.I dont like to put up with constant arguing, bitching, etc.

Re: Relation having too much attitude & being a "st

my mother was "strong," but I do not remember her constantly fighting with "significant" others...

    so..

My answer would be no.... There wouldn't be a 1/1 positive correlation between the two factors.

as far as this argument is concerned tho..

this would not be the first time I came across this issue...

pretty standard fare for anyone versed in WW/BM relationships...

but the correlation aspect/justification is a bit different.

older black women understand the true meaning of 'strong'....but SOMEyounger sistas don't quite get that strength has very little to do with how loud or aggressive you seem

this problem also affects young BM because sometimes we think that speaking loudly, talking s***.....showing lots of bravado and machismo makes you a man....it doesn't....nothing wrong with having a cocky side but as the old saying goes...(I think)..."speak softly and carry a big stick"....no pun intended

    lol..

    yeah really...

I personally don't talk a lot of crap, or pose as hard when around other people, to intimidate them...

but I'm not afraid to tumble or hit back, when the situation presents itself
