This election is really fascinating to me. 4 years ago, I had to search far and wide to see if people were supporting McCain, as all I saw on Facebook posts was Obama, Obama, Obama.

This year, though, I'm seeing a resurgence of Republicans on my friends list.

35 of my Facebook friends like Obama's Facebook page, but 15 of my Facbook friends like Mitt Romney's page and 8 of those friends like Paul Ryan's page.

It's interesting to watch the Republicans coming out of hiding this year.

I think election day is going to be an exciting day and one that will come down to the wire.

I live in California, so voting is more of a formality for me. My vote will do nothing more than add to Romney's popular vote.

I didn't even see that other thread. It's interesting that you're changing your mind.

Living in a non-swing state, that's all my vote ever goes toward: the candidate's popular vote.

I was reading an article a few weeks ago in the Chicago Tribune. The article asked if your vote counted. In the article it stated something like 98% of the people in Illinois would have to vote Republican for the electoral votes to go to the Republican candidate.

That math makes zero sense to me.

And it kind of shows that it doesn't matter then, because the only way that could conceivably happen is if everyone in Chicago didn't vote. LOL.

Cant wait to say I told you so to a lot of you. All Mitt Romney will do is bring back Bush policies that caused the majority of our problems. We will be in another war we cant afford and jobs will be shipped overseas quicker than you can Obama save us.

A president and congress can make tax incentives for people to keep jobs here.
And I won't go down the list of shit he actually did do but come on man that's really an unfair statement. Hasn't done shit?
Well it looks like you guys might get what you want and get another Bush administration. Another rich white man who cares nothing about the middle class, who wants to restrict the rights of women, and wants to get us into another war we can't afford.
I just pray I get a visa before then. I'm soooo out of here.

Word? Rich white man who have been President have had a pretty messed up track record in this country when it comes to running this country as of late. I should also point out I am specifically speaking about those who came from money. Who have zero connection with the common American folk.

This part kind of sounds like you're whining. LOL. But what it really sounds like you're no longer confident that Obama will be re-elected.

I'm not sure what war Romney would get us into if he's elected?

This was a really tough decision for me this election cycle.

Every year that I've been eligible to vote for President, I've always felt I was voting for what I believed to be the lesser of two evils. Four years ago, I felt like that was changed. I was super psyched about Obama. If I treated any politician as a celebrity or a "rock star" it was Obama. The one thing that really bothered me four years ago about Obama, though, was I felt he probably didn't have enough experience.

Fast forward to today and I'm back to deciding who is the lesser of two evils. Do I go with the devil I know or the devil I don't know?

I thought about it and thought about it and read up on the candidates and tried to decide of all of the issues, which were most important to me. Ultimately, as of Friday, I made my decision and I'm going with the devil I don't know.

I was talking to my parents about the two candidates and I really feel like being a Governor is the best prerequisite for the job of President. Obama just wasn't experienced enough, and while I thought that might be a good enough thing four years ago, I've decided it's no longer a good thing.

I really, really wanted to back Obama again, but I just can't. So I'm going against everyone else's opinion on here when I decided that this country needs a little R & R.

get both countries to drop their nukes.
neither one of them have followed the rules.

Problem is that some of American people want to be Israel's bitch.

When you got children breaking the rules, you don't take sides. You punish.

There's no such thing in gaining experience for the presidency.

Shouldn't you know that devil first before you vote for him? To a degree I understand Romney & Ryan is so tight lip on their tax plan. I don't no much about their tax policy either.

Are you're parents still working or are they retired? I'm worried about my mother that will be retiring in a few years. Romney & Ryan is going to butcher social security & medicare.

George Bush Jr. was governor and was a terrible president. In fact we have had quiet a few presidents that was governors. That sucked at the job of governing the country.

Obama inherited a near collapsed economy.Manufacturing was on life support when Obama took office. And job creation was at an all time low. The economy not great and yet it's better than it was four years ago. Is the recovery at full blossom no and yet at least where gaining. And the most important thing Obama did was save the mid-west. When he bail out the car companies he saved millions of jobs.

Bail out of the car companies was very unpopular. The dems and republicans was totally against it. I think I was the only democrat and Pat Buchanan was, the only conservative that was for the car bailouts. If you don't save millions of jobs across the mid-west a recover is impossible.

Obama may not be the answer for you.And yet Romney isn't the answer either.

And in this post you sound very bitchy. No need to be disrespectful, its general and merited concern. I was never confident that he'd be elected the first time why would I be confident now? I think he's a much better choice and impatient people like yourself will be the ruination of this country. You complain that he hasn't done enough and that you wanted more done but people like you fail to recognize the country was damn near collapse but you're pissed that it's not 2007 when gas and unemployment rates were low.
If a corn field is burned down you have to plant seeds to and WAIT for new corn to grow.
But whatever Book, like I said if it goes your way hope you're happy with Bush 2.0

I agree with you 100% man. People have forgotten we were in serious trouble in the summer and fall of '08. Romney has flip flopped his positions and is now throwing his right wing buddies under the bus in order to win the middle. Obama has been consistantly Center-Left. Ill take the Devil I know over "Trust me guys, I made millions breaking companies up and shipping jobs overseas". Romney was sweating like a liar the entire debate. Obama did not let him escape with his BS.

Christ, no need to castigate someone over who they plan to vote for.

I already know who's going to win. Twenty years of watching presidential election cycles plus knowing how to read the polls and prediction markets has me feeling quite certain that Obama will get a second term. If I felt that the race was as close as some are portraying it, then I would tell you.

I am smarter than all of you, so just follow my lead and shut the fuck up.

Wish this country had a third Party. A real one that was allowed to run alongside them to the bitter end. And leave the D & R in the dust. Like their fed-up voters would.

After the foreign policy debate, now we apparently have two Democrats running for POTUS.

Romney seems almost bipolar the way he flips on his positions.
Now he's trying to position himself to the left of Obama.
    Best bizarre Romney quote from last night;

'We can't kill our way out of this mess.'- talking about the effectiveness of Obama's drone attacks against islamic terrorists and jihadists.:smt068

Romney must think no one was watching the Republican primaries.
Dude was threatening to invade Iran to prevent them from developing a nuclear bomb and said he wanted to spend another trillion dollars on the military.

    Now he's a peace frog.:smt043

I have to think real conservatives who voted in the GOP primaries must be thinking who the fuck is this guy??
Romney says whatever he thinks his constituents want to hear at that particular time, but believes in nothing.

Not the best idea putting someone in the WH who has no core principles and considers lying about anything at anytime a part of his job description.:smt011

That's the thing fam, unlike Democrats Republicans don't care. They just want Obama out all costs. It finally dawned on me two days ago when some guy was ranting on fb about gas prices and how it was all Obama's fault that gas has gone up 2 bucks in four years. They could care less about facts, they are impatient children who don't understand reasoning and logic. That's why they elect people who publicly make dumb ass comments like legitimate rape and slavery being a blessing in disguise. Whether Romney wins or loses I'm completely done with the right. Until they adopt a more 70s/early 80s approach to the party ideology I can't be bothered. Stupidity is fucking contagious and I don't want to catch it.
