Let's when the Republicans had their convention in 2008, how many African-Americans was in the crowd?

Not that many, huh? So what happen from 1972 to 2009 that made African-Americans scarce from the GOP?

 

Howiedoit,back in the 92 Republican convention the party cherry picked the Black members to be on the screen. That Big Tent that BC is trying to say is a lot of hot air like Sean Hannity and Glen Beck.

 

Those polls actually look good compared to previous presidents, especially those who didn't inherit 2 wars, a recession , a whole news organization and far right talk radio made to tear them down 24/7 and being the first black president. etc etc. I thought those links would show Obama's approval ratings in the early 40s or 30s. I'm surprised his ratings are still in the 50s considering all those herdles I named above and the heaping pile of shit he was elected to fix. Both Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan's approval ratings (both around 35%)were lower than Obama's at this time in their own presidencys.

The rethugs have been working hard trying to demonize Obama's approval ratings for months and I'm always lmao because I'm expecting some low ratings in the 40s or 30s, but there usually around 50-57% and they call that low.lol And they never discuss Reagans low approval ratings when he was in office, talk about propaganda. So those links aren't really proving anything, especially without putting things into perspective.

The "Obama smoked crack" claim is racist nonsense predicated upon the belief that if a black person has used cocaine regardless of the circumstances, they did crack. You see, I actually did read his book, and I know that he explicitly stated that he used powder cocaine when was younger.

A large percentage of people engage in the same sort of youth experimentation in high school and college. That's a far cry from Limbaugh, whose abuse of opiates was so severe that ended up destroying most of his hearing.

 

You seriously think that he Democratic government that produced most of the civil rights legislation that greatly affects your quality of life as a black man in the this country (if you are really a black man) was a bad thing? The country was scared and divided because there were radical changes (for the better) going in society. And I hate to break this to you, but Nixon escalated the war.

sort of like the left calling Bush lil bush, even had a cartoon about it. and a white liberal newspaper writer/cartoonist drew a pic of condi rice as a mammy, so obama is fair game for being called whatever anyone chooses.

 

Why is this double standard tolerated from the left and right by the masses? Can most people see beyond the propaganda from both the left and right or is it just a case of mind manipulation of the general public by the media mind machines to take the publics minds off the real issues?

This is why i am also a Independent but I do lean a bit to the left on certain issues like education and health care .
Which i been reading the bill that is online and it's pretty good better then the last 20years but when i ask the right or left if they read it .

I get a blank look from both .
I explain it to them in the simpliest way and it either gets them mad if their republican for no reason or nothing happens at all lol.

Rush Limbaugh having the influence he does is a very strong indication of how weak minded America has become. Here is a guy who has NEVER held a public office, NEVER been in the military or was a military officer, NEVER had ANY experience dealing with national issues. Yet, there are many people in this country follow this guy.

He is no different than some of the dictators you get in some third world countries. That is why its very easy to take over some of these countries in a coup. If I was a terrorists, I'd be looking for many leaders like a Rush Limbaugh. The more the people follow behind them, the easier it would be to attack this country.

i am Conservative and (r)epublican(only because i like to vote in the primaries of my state and local government and cant do that as an independent and also because their isnt an alternative to vote for besides the Republicans. Libertarians have no social platform and there isnt a conservative party.
