I love this guy. He looks and behave so much like my older brother (I cannot get him to come to this site, he's pro-black sista). I hope Booker runs. We desperately need highly intelligent, charismatic black men in high leadership capacities. He is definately star material for a presidential run someday. What this man did when he ran into that building to save a life months ago made me even more support this courageous black man (unlike many of the freaks we have in local, state, federal leadership) today. Cory, we need you. WE NEED YOU.
I think he can harpoon Christy straight-up in a one on one state show-down for leadership and llikability......
It's not likely that he could take Christie on right now. He got clobbered during his first run for public office and one more term would be perfect. The Senate seat that would be vacated by Sen. Lautenberg (who already retired once and was brought back off the bench post-Corzine) would be a good shot. The problem with a statewide run is that in NJ it means breaking beyond the stigma with which the statewide electorate treats Newark. Timing in these things is everything. Barack got clobbered during his first run for a major office, and Adrian Fenty had a rough time of it in DC. Young dynamic post-1960s black candidates usually have a struggle gathering support among the black masses and the black old guard that often makes voting bloc consolidation for higher office initially difficult.
Hope Mr.Booker becomes either senator or governor. However,it is still tough in some states for a Black man to go to higher office.
