Nuar: that was my point, exactly. All the women on IR dating sites and wwbm personal site are not fake or bad people, I dont know why the majority is being added to the few bad ones who are here playing. I am sure people have met individuals in person before and had a date and it didnt go as planned or the person turn out to be fake, or self absorbed or even gay.

My question was exactly yours. What about the others on IR dating personal sites who are not scamming, what is wrong with them?

but based on the answers, i dont think we will get an answer, people are going to avoid the question and just talk about the bad experiences.

    oh well

We already answered the question several times, and if we were only speaking of the majority, then that should've been enough for you to understand what we mean.

I think I can shed some light on this subject, seeing as how I am the one who reviews and approves the ads on this site.

All ads are screened before being approved. Most of the ads on this site are legit as far as I can tell. I would say maybe 5% aren't legit, but are hard to prove as bogus.

Here are some red flags that I look for...

    - Contact email does not match the gender of the person placing the ad.

    - Their Yahoo/AOL/MSN, etc. profile does not match the specs in their ad. If an ad looks suspicious, I will look up their user-name at their ISP to see if they have a profile or homepage, and if it matches what they put here.

    - They do not rename stolen photos and the photos come up in a Google image search.

    - Their IP address belongs to an ISP located in a different country than they say they're from. Had one yesterday. A woman with a questionable photo and specs, whose IP address was from Romania, but said she lives in Tennessee.

    - The same IP address posting multiple ads.

    - Someone who browses the female ads for 30 minutes or more, and then places a female ad, or browses the male personals for a significant amount of time, and then places a male ad.

    - The person who places the ad came here from a racist site, or exited to a racist site.

Usually, it's a combination of the above and not just one thing. For some of those "too good be true" photos, I've emailed the ad owner before approving the ad, and they answered satisfactorily.

No matter what you do, some will always slip through.
