To the females who dates a lot BM or interested more in BM, I heard this on that old t.v. show "blind date" they had this whitegirl who was going on this date with this black guy and she mentioned that her friends tease because she dates a lot of black guys, and I remember I heard this before. So do your friends tease you for dating, interested in black men? Is this normally jokingly or them trying to get you to date more whitemen as well? And to everybody(well everybody who strictly or mostly dates IR.) have you ever been told by a person who only dates inside their race, that you need to be more open? And has anyone ever called you racist if you ever told anybody you prefer ww/bm?
Kenny G, you always know about all these TV shows when it comes to the context of interracial dating  .
My friends have never teased me about it, but you get to choose your friends. My family, however, is another story. My brother was throwing some "cute" jokes at me about it. I was bit hurt and somewhat shocked. We were, after all, raised by the same people. Anyway, I made it clear in no uncertain terms that I did not find his questions/comments funny. I told him I would not tolerate anything that would embarrass me or disrespect my boyfriend should they meet in person. Sis is usually lighthearted and non-judgmental with him so he was pretty shocked when I laid down the law and he never tried me again on the matter.
My friends have never had any problems with it. Many of my close friends have been with other BM anyways. My family on the other hand had a different opinion on it. My mom was surprisingly very cool and supportive of it. But my dad very much disapproved of my relationship until he met my boyfriend. It was amazing, my dad feel in love with the guy. They talked sports, everything, you name it.
such a good story, sara maybe his pre-determination of black men, was squashed when he met your boyfriend..once he realized that black people have as much in common, as some white folk
Same boat here. Now my parents treat him better then me! I have a lot of relatives in Indiana in towns that are all white. I recently told my bf that he has totally changed their opinions of black men.
My mother could care less who I date... My 21 year old daughter on the other hand has the "off hand" comments about my dating preference. She plays it off like a joke but I think that she thinks I date BM just to be different. Totally not true. My 15 year old son is very cool about who I date.. he just gets pissed off when one of them hurts me but he is mature enough to realize that it isn't the color of the man it is that particular man's nature. My friends are funny. As alot of you know I work in a hospital and if a black couple or an interracial couple come in I am automatically assigned to them cause "I'll be a good fit with them"... makes me laugh
