Ok...why am I not shocked by this???

Is it maybe bcoz I'm not American...I mean black and American and that I don't try to find a racist quote everywhere???

Would he have used that expression around some young frenetic white crowd, nobody would have rushed to put it on Youtube...but hey, of course he said it to some black kidz so it has to be racist, it can't be something that just spontaneously came out...

    Hmmm...

    I don't know...
Maybe I should get worked up over it but he is only doing what most people with limited contact to “others” would do.

Many of the post here lately have been based on one stereotype after another and we should know better.

I think we should talk about it but maybe from a larger standpoint.

Anyway Obama is my guy [And it's NOT because of race..... Did I need to say that????]

My question is does this make anyone here who supports Mitt rethink that support?

I don't know if anyone is calling him a racist but I've never heard him talk like that before.
That makes me question his mind-set.

I want to know what a possible leader thinks about "others".
If you think most stereotypes are okay then I would tend to think that it would effect how you lead this country.

    No?

I don't find any racism in that at all..
when white people use words that black people use frequently, I find it amusing..

    not offensive..

    to each, his own...again

I'm w/ POJ. However it is a indicator that he may not be comfortable in other arenas. I'd hate have the man the represents us not be able to be himself when he visits other parts of the world. Kids, today's lesson, be yourself people relate to authenticity not patron-ism

P.S. I love the the sig pic POJ reminds me of "ask a ninja". Lol

    I thought it was funny.

I saw no racism in it whatsoever.

    I liked it.

If only more candidates had that swagger. :D

    Mitt: what's happenin'?

    me: what up Mitt?!

Mitt: chillen, chillen. tryin to get you to vote for me, playa.

Me: Mitt, although you my boy, I gotta rep Obama.

Mitt: aww, you gonna do me like that?

Me: of course. Good luck with your campaign though.

(Mitt almost reminded me of Brotha Clinton with that swagger for a second.)

Call me naive but i don't see what's offensive here. Gee, if you're going to get slighted over this, you might as well cease all contact with white people because i've seen (and heard) far more sinister, embarassing and unbelievably patronizing things.

Some people love to act like they can "relate".

Although i'm not sure why he needed to say "bling bling".

It wasn't a big issue because he is a Republican and only about 10% of eligible black voters go for the GOP.

I guarantee that if Hilary...or even Barack...when around talking about "bling, bling" and "who let the dogs out"....there would have been a much bigger story.

Mitt was lucky though...that could have been a fatal blow for him

barack doesn't need to say bling bling...

    he's got the skin color..

that's the only item of acceptance he needs, for the black community

    Bullshit.

You just said black people are so shallow that race is all that matters.

I dont think he meant it to be racist, but that was lame as hell though. You ever notice when some white people imitate blacks to "relate",they always say stuff that we dont say? They always say some lammmmmmeeeee thing.

Amen to that. Like there's this white chick that lives near me. She's cool and all, but sometimes she tries to be "down", saying things like "Fo sheezy" and i'm thinking, "Fo sheezy is sooo 2001, black folks don't say that shit no more".

    It's unintended ignorance.
