you're not much for words, are ya?

You got one thing going for you tho, which is your height...

unlike weight, shape, and build, height is something that you really can not alter...

it's like wrestling (according to a buddy of mine). either you're good at it, or you're not..

There are ways for you to gain weight, if you really wanted to add some substance to that frame. What can a short guy do to get taller tho?

Yes. I often see white women with tall, skinny black men. They're called basketball players.

I had a major crush on a tall, skinny, African dude. He was gorgeous, but turned out to be a player.

don't be a player and the girls will love you!

You are too fun NPM :D

I don't mind skinny men, but I must admit I am particular to a guy with a little bit of muscle.

Unfortunately, I fall under the tall skinny black guy category.

It's so hard to gain weight.

    I'm 6'1'' 160lbs.

I try to stay in the gym so that I can gain some size.

going to the gym alone doesn't necessarily mean you'll gain size.

if you're trying to build up your body mass, you need to adjust your diet appropriately. From what I understand, if you join the military underweight, you will be expected to simply "eat more," so that you can put on pounds. The opposite would go into effect for a guy who went in overweight. Apply that same methodology to yourself, and realize that, along with gym exercise, you need to EAT.

Make sure you get foods that are high in protein (eggs, chicken, beef, protein shakes), so that your muscles have something to support their growth and maintenance. Other than that, it's hard for me to give you more suggestions, since I don't know what your metabolism is like. Eat too much "junk," and you'll gain weight, but not the kind of weight you wanted.

As a side note, I've read that adding peanut butter to protein shakes, helps build muscle mass. Something to think about, or you could just eat it separately.

Physical fitness and body development, truly is a science. I remember using that as a topic for an English research paper.

I'm more into not so tall men. I am only 5'3 myself. My current boyfriend is medium height. My ex was 6'1 and quite skinny though.
Personality and charisma are more important than body type and height to me

    that's what they all say

(don't mind the erotica novels, with the big-buff stud on the cover, holding some scantily clad vixen, in your closet)

    :)

    Co-sign!

I once read an article where a successful bodybuilder (Ronnie Coleman, 8 time My. Olympia) said the reason other competitors couldn't stick with him was because, though they may be able to lift as much or more then him, they can't stick with him at the dinner plate.

Socal, if you're goal is indeed muscle mass, diet is just as important as exercise. Most reports by reputable magazines suggest 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight.

uh......with black girls im too skinny. with white girls im considered "hot". go figure eh?

but then i should add, not just any white girls.....and not all black girls hate skinny dudes, but this is how it has been for ever for me. I was made fun of for being a slim dude and its the opposite with white, the shirt comes off and I might get complimented.
