It seems Tebow is getting a huge amount of press (ritefully so) because they say he is a below avg qb but he continues to win. on the other side is cam newton.....he is playing very well but the team is 4-8.

should tebow be getting more press than cam or are they getting what they deserve?

I'm glad Cam is flying under the radar screen...he's getting a break from all the crap.

Once his team gets some defense the press will have no choice but focus on him.

Newton is a legend in the making.

Not big on sports, but from what I gather, Tebow is a less than average quarterback, but exercise great leadership skills. Hm, generally, a leader would have to be well-balanced. But this person...it'll eventually hurt him should he enter a solo career (politics).

Not only that, but his name has been mentioned as rookie of the year, despite playing on a team that lacks a good defense. Humm, sounds like the Eagles.

In any case, Cam, from his first game has been running and throwing with great stats. If you were genetically engineering a quarterback, he'd be the result. This guy has the potential to be the best of all times.

Funny Cam was “the back up” QB for Teebow, at Gators prior to his transfer. I think they are both solid good QB but Cam looks like he has a potential to be great if he keeps his focus.

Cam needs to cut down on the INT's and sacks next season and he'll be fine.

Tebow is the 'All-American' QB. He is easy for certain people to like. Clean-cut christian white boy who is always smiling. Not to mention his team is winning despite shitty stats.

Tebow is more 'media friendly' than Cam and that is the only reason he gets more attention despite Cams statistical superiority.

Tebow is a lightning rod for controversy and a polarizing figure in general. Add to that the fact that he is in a playoff race and yeah he's getting a lot of pub. It's shameful that espn talks about this over and over again though...

Newton is having an outstanding year but his team is losing. He gets his props but he'll his due in time as long as he continues to play well. Carolina will build around him.

5 years from now the coverage will be reversed.

  10. guys i love black football players more than most haha (read my other threads) but they just don't cut if for qb position, media actually tries to push cam newton because he's black but his record is very poor and his team is losing, what other stats do you need lol

we need more attention on the physical prowess of the runningbacks that's where the REAL men do well, qb is more nerdy-intellectual position

While you might be correct about athletes having overblown egos, what does that have to do with the tattoo? The caption of the photo refers to a guy who got a tattoo, presumably a fan of Tebow, not Tebow himself??

Exactly, Tebow couldn't be more apple pie and ice cream even if he were named Biff and grew up in the potato fields of Idaho.

The wins are good for Broncos fans and since I am sympathetic to the state of CO, good for them.

As long as Cam plays for the Carolina Panthers he will never reach legendary status.

    Panthers suck.

It would be like Kobe Bryant playing for the Indiana Pacers. He wouldn't be "Kobe" if that were the case.

I understand your point about the panthers, they lack defense, but basketball is a different game altogether. You don't assist to exert your own superiority, only to win a championship. MJ was just as great a player, but once he had a supporting cast, they won championships. Kobe would've shown the same greatness no matter who he played for, he just wouldn't have won any rings without the other winning components on a team.

dont know how race plays into this at all

when a team wins, you know the QB gets the spotlight regardless. If Cam's team was winning he'd be getting all kinds of accolades too, just like that black ass, dog killing mothafucka Mike Vick. :p That mothafucka went from convict to star QB with Nike endorsements in the same year.
