Doctor Doom is also a New Iron Man??????




If you were mad about Tony Stark being ditched in preference of a 15 year old girl, then this is likely to ruin your weekend: after being healed following the events of Secret Wars, a rehabilitated Victor Von Doom has become a staple of Invincible Iron Man, and he's now going to suit up as the Infamous Iron Man. Written by Brian Michael Bendis with artwork by Alex Maleev, the series launches this Fall.

Not much is known beyond that right now, though the synopsis teases: "There is a new Iron Man in town and his name is VICTOR VON DOOM. The greatest villain of the Marvel Universe will try something new. Where Tony Stark failed, Doom will succeed. What is Doom's Master Plan?" How did Tony fail and do these replacements mean he's either dead or imprisoned at the end of Civil War II?

This announcement is sure to generate some controversy, but making Doctor Doom the new Iron Man is certainly an interesting concept. Still, it's hard not to miss the old days of Marvel when Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor were fighting alongside each other as The Avengers. To many fans, the Marvel Universe is now unrecognizable.

 

Those people are bugging, but as long as they don't ruin the movies I'm good.

They new gen writers for Marvel have run out of ideas, but why cannibalize the great superhero franchises??

 

It's something we've all wanted since last season. We will FINALLY get to see Wally West (played by Keiynan Lonsdale) suit up as Kid Flash

 

I understand the characters name is from the comics, but 'Kid Flash' is a little weird when he is only like 5 years younger than the original Flash. However, it's not as bad as some names. They could have called him 'The Brown Streak'

Maybe, they poke fun at him and call him Kid Flash but actually call him Impusle in the field.

 

The suit looks good so far. I'll reserve judgment until I see it on TV.
