I found this test. It's fairly fast.

What is your political compass? I was surprised by my result:

    Your political compass

    Economic Left/Right: -7.38
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.67

I thought the test questions lacked nuance in some cases, forcing you into an answer which was more black/white than it needed to be.

    Economic Left/Right: -7.88
    Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.87

I agree, some of it was hard to choose without more information.

Yes, agreed. There were a couple of questions that I would have liked to be able to say N/A or Neutral. I literally just randomly picked either Agree or Disagree on a couple.

I also noticed that whilst they had questions about abortion and gay rights on there, there weren't any questions about gun control, etc. I find that interesting, since I am way more left on this quiz, than I am on some of the issues.

By the way, check out this graph depicting where all the 2008 Presidential candidates stand.

Europe generally has been considered more progressive than the U.S., but according to this chart, pretty much a lot of the countries tend to lean more of a blend of economic authoritarianism. As for social liberties, that's debatable.
