    Isn't there a box for mixed/other

Plus it depends on who u identify with

Barack Obama is mixed but he calls himself black I think...probably because the way society views him

He bears just as much anti-black rhetoric as me or you...I'd be hard pressed to find people who'd accept him as white

I've always contended that race is made up of two components. What you identify as, and what society sees you as.

People who have Barack's skin tone and features, know that society sees them as black, so they just go with it.

    Pretty much

I identify myself as black, because of my skin color and because of my role within the unique struggle that black people face

I have blood ties with white/mixed family, but I never considered myself to be white or biracial

Must have been all of those racial slurs I endured

Fraternal twins, not identical. But you still wouldn't believe they were related and had the SAME mother and father.

More like the way society has treated him. He says he knows what is like to be followed around in a store or the reaction of a lil ole lady when a black person enters an elevator or how doors of cars click when a black man is walking towards a car or how some white man gives him the key to park his car when he(obama) is standing in front of a restaurant trying to catch a cab or being told to bring some coffee when he attends an event in a tuxedo and bow tie. Now this is all happened before he became president or senator for that matter.
