Conservative Leader Abbott Wins Sweeping Victory, Pushes Out Labor Government My Take I actually paid careful attention to Australia's political clout and I was hoping that there would be some confidence vote of sorts where the Labor government could have inked in another round of votes and back into power. However, it's expected when there's a great deal of dissatisfaction with the ruling party and in turn, we would have to anticipate an opposition takeover. Already, Abbott, being labeled as Australia's Tea Party Man-Mauler, it will come to no surprise that he will be a splintering idea as to what may come in US politics. Cutting taxes, hard on immigration, and perhaps cutting and gutting social programs and reinstating a more laissez-faire system, I wonder if the economy of Australia will peak to higher numbers if this conservative philosophy proves beneficial. I don't know myself, as I'm not Australian, but I'm sure many of the Aussies here can clarify their own stances on the matter at hand.
Two decades ago, the conservative party took the majority rule. How did you all fair in light of the economy under a conservative government. And what would you expect in the coming years ahead?
Our new prime minister is a budgie smuggler wearing twit With KRudd, our economy went from strength to strength with his friendship with our neighbouring Asian countries helping. He should never of called an election so soon after being reinstated as PM. I am shocked and ashamed that the budgee smuggling, narrow minded, fear mongering misogynist is in the big seat.
It is pretty damning. And knowing this guy...he'll probably strain relations and blow up the military budget.
This reminds me waaaayyyy too much of a lot of American politicians, which is definitely not a good thing.
