Just horrible! R.I.P. Former Seattle Seahawks player is shot dead in a dispute with his neighbor over a parking spot Anthony 'T.J.' Cunningham, 46, died on Monday after he was shot at a school parking lot on Sunday, Arapahoe County police said. Cunningham had been involved in an altercation with his neighbor over the weekend and the pair had continued to bait each other over text message, the police said. They agreed to 'settle it' outside Eaglecrest High school on Sunday morning, 9 News reported. Cunningham was rushed to hospital on Sunday but reported dead yesterday. The police said Cunningham was shot several times. Authorities say 31-year-old Marcus Johnson is being held on a first-degree murder charge. There was only one firearm brought to the scene, the police said. Cunningham was an assistant principal for Aurora Public Schools and played for the University of Colorado before being drafted by the Seahawks. Hinkley High School's website lists Cunningham as an assistant principal. Cunningham was a receiver and defensive back in college. A sixth-round pick in 1996, he played Safety for the Seahawks before a knee injury ended his career. University of Colorado athletic director Rick George said Cunningham was an active alum and his death is a tragic loss. A Gofundme page to raise money for his family said: 'TJ Cunningham, a prominent Overland High School football star, CU Buffalo and eventual NFL football player for the Seattle Seahawks, was senselessly shot by a neighbor after a dispute and taken from this world while doing nothing more than protecting his family. 'TJ's legacy is beyond words and he has left behind a wife and five beautiful children who depended on him as a husband, father and primary provider.' The page has so far raised more than $30,000, with donations pouring in from all over the States (For more details on what happened..) https://www.9news.com/mobile/articl...chool/73-40dafeb0-d367-4712-b010-e23d2794908e
