"want" to become citizens and "can" become citizens are very different.

The immigration process in the US is horribly corrupt, complicated and designed to make immigration lawyers money.

Mexico's immigration policy seems to be working quite well.

They have no problem rounding-up and deporting mofos...even though they demand we don't do the same to their trespassing peasantry.

Since Mexico's wealthy don't pay any taxes...that burden falls on US since our nation is breaking it's own laws to LURE as many of them here as possible.

The elites on Wall Street want to turn America into a giant un-regulated flea market....THEY ALREADY HAVE..!

Once the middle-class is gone...it will never come back..because the fastest growing element of this society comes from a Nation that HAS NO MIDDLE-CLASS.

Americans created the American middle-class...........not Mexicans.

This is the only Country we have...I don't understand why people are so eager to just GIVE IT AWAY.

Can you imagine the backlash if Black people were sending BILLIONS of UNTAXED dollars out of the Country annually???

    They'd be lynching us again.

It reminds me of the old saying.....that ALL Black people know:

    "When you white you're right....yellow you're mellow....brown stick around...Black get back.

Americans are not going to pick their own fruit for $3 an hour under the table, and no one trying to turn a profit is going to pay some schmuck $10 an hour to do that job. I'm not advocating we encourage illegal immigration. Let's STOP encouraging illegal immigrants to go on welfare and give them the jobs no one else wants.

Wait, that doesn't work. We can't pay them $3 an hour if we legalize them, because it is illegal to pay anyone $3 an hour. They only get paid $3 an hour now because they're illegal to begin with, and so they can't complain.

Frankly, I say legalize them all (even tho I know that will get me a lecture from flaming, sorry flaming), but still.. if we legalize them, then we also have to require that their employers pay them a legal wage.

Or are you not suggesting legalization? What are you suggesting?

Are you suggesting we simply ignore labor laws from now on?

Only $3 an hour because of all the scab labor in the country.

Without them those jobs PAY A LIVING WAGE.

Who do you think picked the fruit before Mexico's elite(and Wall Street) decided to bless us with their entire peasant class.????

Too many laborers drive down wages and widens the gap between rich and poor.......I thought everybody knew that.

In the 90's....the average janitor was Black...Unionized...had benefits...and earned a living wage.

    Today..the average janitor is a mexican national...non-union...minimum wage...zero benefits.

Now tell me how the hell we need shit like that???

Meat-packers used to drive Cadillacs and Lincolns...saved enough to start businesses and send their kids to college.

That's what you can do with a TIGHT LABOR MARKET.

You can't do that with a wide-open border and fast-track citizenship for any Tom,Dick, and Julio that staggers across.

You're too stupid to live in a free Country.....You deserve the over-crowded taco stand you will leave your children.

If you legalize them all then you're stuck with Mexico Pt II.

What would citizenship mean if you just GAVE IT AWAY??

WOULD THEY DO THE SAME FOR YOU.........FOOL............??

If everybody in America is given a Nobel prize, having one wouldn't mean shit.

A superbowl ring wouldn't be shit if everybody had one.

If Mexico were a Black Country that border would be sealed tighter than Ellie Mae's short shorts.

You sure as fuck wouldn't hear white folks say legalize them...that's for damn sure.

How are people who aren't even citizens of this country collecting welfare??

And who says no one else wants those jobs? They'll want them if they're paid at least minimum wage. These companies paying people $3 an hour are raking in the dough because they're not paying legal minimum wage.

Legalizing immigrants won't really help wage discrepancies and unemployment. As long as there is unchecked outsourcing we're all fucked. Consumers have to ban together its the only way.

Book everytime they have children here that's a cost they don't have to pay. That's part of welfare.

Yep, you're right. And there is one reason our healthcare costs are through the roof. Paying for their hospital bills...someone has to foot the bill for all that.

I think its simple all it is is a matter of showing people the direct relationship between how they're getting screwed and company profits.

You don't have to be a citizen to get Medicaid.

We gotta crack down on immigration but they won't because hispanics represent a large voting population now and will consider a crack down on immigration a direct attack on them and their families.

"Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
    With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

And the good citizens of this country will pay for whatever you need!! :smt023
