They went toe to toe, it was much interesting debate than lousy Obama's performance. Uncle Joe came out fighting, I enjoyed watching this debate. Let see Bama is able to perform as good, may be they should make a Telepromter for him for 2nd debate. Style wise maybe Ryan won, coz Biden was laughing and rolling his eyes, at times condescending, but Ryan appeared to be calm and collected and held his own than the much experienced senator. But overall it might be a draw
Didn't have time to watch it (will watch the recaps tomorrow on the news) But I'm sure Ryan probably worked over Biden. Biden is an old dunce and Ryan is an eager, hungry up & comer.
Ryan appeared to hold his own, BTW, they saying Romney is way up in Florida Is the first presidential debate appearing to be a game changer?
I think Biden wiped the floor with Ryan. Ryan is a policy wonk and therefore lacks the avuncular appeal of Biden. The debate tally is 1-1 but, once again, the debates won't decide the election.
He got an expected bump in the polls, including battleground states, but I believe he is way too behind in battleground states with early voting.
what is y'al thought about abortion que/answer? Forming your policy based on your faith and religion, etc? Both Catholic men but I think Joe smacked Ryan well on that portion of debate
As a catholic, It didn't surprise me to see what they said. Most of us don't believe in prolife including myself. These two were no exceptions. However, it is not my job to tell everyone what to do. It is my job as a catholic to tell you I told you so :mrgreen:!!! j/k Seriouisly though, I think I would have advertised adoption. For me, it isn't that tough of a decision. I would have voted Biden over Obama but this is just as good. i can't leave without saying this comment! You got a black guy and catholic! Ryan wasn't specific at all once again. Mitt Romney had way more heart than Paul Ryan. Lol the republicans are crying about the interruptions. And yet Romney totally ignored the moderator. Biden spoke with passion that all Obama has to wake up and do the same.
In terms of the actual debate, I think it was pretty much a tie. But if you look at professionalism, I would say Ryan won hands down. Biden looked like a complete jackass up there, laughing and rolling his eyes and being condescending. Say what you will about how GOP thinks it's okay for Romney to do it, but not Biden, but there is a huge difference. Romney didn't laugh or act condescending toward the President. Did he interrupt a ridiculous amount, yes, but he was attentive when the President talked and he treated the President with a lot more respect than Biden treated Ryan while Ryan was talking.
