I'm not in an ideal job either, but at this point, I'm just thankful I have one. Do you have staffing agencies where you are? That's how I got my job - it was temp-to-hire.
Yeah tourism is dying hun. I suggest either some type of job with coding or healthcare. We're getting to a point where thats all the jobs that are going to be left that pay a livable wage.
Sorry to hear that but this is for the better, it'll work out for you in the long run and you'll find a job that is satisfying than the last.
I'm really good with computers and I learn fast, but I could never do healthcare. Can't take the sight of blood :smt085 Over here you are pretty limited with a lot of jobs, cause you need a degree for almost everything. Even roofing, hairdresser or plumbing you will have to learn for 3 years to practice.
Yeah it seems like the days of unskilled labor are dead and gone in the infustrialized countries. Well maybe breaking into some computer related field might be the path fornyou
Just throwing my two cents in...there's more in healthcare than just direct patient care. Medical billing and/or medical coding for example. Coders make pretty good money (here anyways), and you'd never have to touch a patient!
Stay positive and look for new opportunities, U4E! I will be praying for you! Be sure to let us know what happens next!!
Corporatism is the devil. :smt068 We live in a democracy, but the corporate world is a dictatorship where they can fuck you over in any number of ways, including robbing you of your enthusiasm for your chosen profession, your confidence in your skills, and even your faith in humanity. I have a pet theory that the reason they resisted single-payer health care so much is because holding our health care hostage is a powerful way of keeping people dependent on working for corporations (as opposed to setting out on their own). Paying for decent health care is a major barrier to starting your own business, especially if you have a family. I mean think about it: a single-payer system would in fact relieve corporations from having to pay for their employee's health care, so they should be all for it. Instead they resisted any and all health care reform, so they keep control over everyone. And don't get me started on how the banks got off scott-free for wrecking the world economy, while we're all paying the cost. In cyprus, they're even dipping into people's bank accounts, while bank execs are still enjoying their mega-bonuses and their incestuous old boy network.
Damn motherfucka get out of my head you're singing my song lol There was actually one bank exec who cut his bonus in half to give to his employees. Wish more had his attitude.
democratic republic If you want to see a real republic take your ass over to China and tell me how great it is fam
Yeah, the middle and lower class over there have it fucked up, while the rich get richer. Hmmm...that theme somehow seems familiar, lmao.
Some people just but into this bs individualism that wont do them any good. I know what he was trying to say but this country is now an oligarchy where we are rushing to make working class citizens slaves or outcasts. They wont get it till its too late and I bet theyll be wishing this was a democracy
Germany is more fortunate than most Euro countries like Greece,Spain, and Italy. Some Germans are not happy that in the Eurozone the government shells out money to those countries who can't get their financial matters in order. Switzerland on the other hand is making sure the CEO's don't get big pay for ruining their companies to the ground.
Sweetie, read my posts again: I'm about to lose my job. Besides, my company is doing customer service for a company located in Seattle while my company's headquarter is located in Atlanta. Enough said.... Welcome to the wonderful world of "global players"!
As long as you are happy and have what you need it's a wrap Someone will always be making more than you and yeah life is definitely who u know....
