Cuddling in Wendy's: The Fast Food Chain's Strategy In the war between the fast food chains, every place wants to innovate to keep their audiences appeased. Whether we're talking about concocting new kinds of foods to appease certain audiences (which include health nuts) or expand with new toys and deals. Wendy's took a different approach and instead of creating another baconator, they've decided to work on some cosmetic changes, notably, refurbishing the atmosphere, completed with a fireplace so that when dining out, not only you're getting a wholesome tasty experience which is cheap, but you're getting a wholesome atmosphere to boot. Still, people go there to eat and relax and to be honest...I happen to like this transition. I like Wendy's food as much as I like Burger King and McDonald's, but it seems to me that this would make a good place for me to relax and for a get together with friends in the midst of some stressful moments. In short, I think I'll be anticipating this change in any of the Wendy's chains. But, I wonder if the quality of the food will be dipped. There's one way to find out and that's to dig in!!!!!
A fireplace at Wendy's. Well it would be nice and cozy during the winter months up north. I like some of Wendy's burgers(though sometimes you have to eat it in the restaurant because the burgers and fries get cold if you takeout). I guess all is needed next is to pipe in classical or mellow music and it would be successful. We shall see how this turns out.
There are some Wendy's branches that actually have that very thing. But it depends on which place to you venture into. Where I live, it's pretty eclectic, but you often get some country themed music in the restaurant. Still, I like this approach and would like to dine-in and enjoy the atmosphere.
The Wendy's chains here in Miami are pretty much the same. I don't see them installing a wood-burning fireplace in any of them unless they expand the building. But, it gets cold down here, as well. And they pipe in pop music.
