What are your thoughts on Tim Wise?

One of the few guys who actually gets it......Race, Politics, etc

 

I just reserved one of his books from the library. I saw an interview with him a while back on youtube and I was left speechless. That brotha is deep.:smt045

 

Got to check out that book.

 

My sociology teacher recommended him to me. i watched about an hour and a half worth of video on youtube. i liked the guy. Hes deep

he reminds me of my very first English professor, who was a white lady, that was in tune with such topics of social discourse as him. I was the only black student in her class, and she always bought up the issue of white privilege et al.

Even tho it was an English class, she always made an effort to raise our life IQ and I respect her deeply for it.

 

Time Wise, when Black People nod there heads in agreement, the White People shake their head No and that's what his books talk about.

His books are excellent, I would also pick up Republican Gomorrah by Max Blumenthal -

I think I may pick up some Tim Wise books.

quality reading for a change, that stimulates the mind in a good way. It is a good change of pace, from the reading of random forum troll posts.
