What do your parents think of obama?

If you dislike their savior Obama, they resort to personal attacks

 

What is it about his policies you dislike? Could you list a few alternatives you would like to see pursued?

murder of the unborn
and other liberal leftist policies

he is probably personally a nice guy, without the politics

 

Believe it or not, this is what many people tend to say about our former president George W. Bush.

I do find it hard to believe that not even after 100 days in office, many believe that Obama is even worse than Bush was.:smt102

 

It seems you need to do a lot more research before forming such ill-informed opinions

 

That Karmacoma's style instead of debate you get attacks. Obama has a god like type of view by his supporters. question him like we should have questioned Bush. People pick sides and feel they have to be loyal to political side instead of using common sense.

 

1. Reduce government to its Constitutional limits (Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution)
2. Repeal the Income tax
3. Bring all military who are not stationed in the US or its territories home
4. End the Drug War
5. Repeal all Federal weapons bans
6. End all foreign aid
7. Leave all international organizations (UN, NATO, WTO, etc.)
8. Repeal online gaming ban

Those are a few

 

So its not so much Obama, as much as what the government has grown into being overtime? No administration has done or would even attempt to do any of the items on your list with the possible exception of number 8. Surely you have countenanced the domestic and international chaos that would ensue from implementing 1,2,3,5,6, & 7, yes?

 

First of all, you're correct in a way. I dislike Obama politically because he, like Bush and the presidents before him, won't stop big government. In face, the increase it every year, with the help of Congress. I will oppose any politician who doesn't believe in limited government, individual freedoms, free enterprise, non-intervention and peace.

Secondly, I don't care about the international reaction. No international entity has a veto over our laws. We must enforce our Constitution. It's not, nor has it ever been, our duty to take care of the world. The government should only be concerned with our nation. We will live in peace in the world and trade with all nations who want to live in peace and trade with us

 

I guess the main thing that irks me is the sanctimonius bunk and the blatant double-standards.:smt009

I understand where you're coming from. Politicians and their supporters will attack every policy of the other side when they're not in power. But when they get to power, they do practically everything they attacked the other side for doing. I'll give you an example:

Take the budget. Republicans are railing against all the spending in President Obama's budget. While I agree with them, they had no problem with the rampant spending from President Bush II's budget. Very few of them challanged Bush on the spending. They pretty much went along with it the whole time. Have they suddenly turned into Milton Friedman? I doubt it. They just don't like it because the Democrats are in control.

And people wonder why I feel the way I do about politics. It's because both parties are hypocrites

 

It doesn't just have to be in the political realm, like I previously said before; we're ALL hypocrites and nobody's perfect.

Nowadays the GOP and their blatant double-standards are the main source of my amusement.:smt003
