What is a modern woman looking for in a man? What are the characteristics she finds appealing enough to settle, mate, and start a family (if she so desires) with a man?

    Relax Mufasa

You make a comment about a young lady having dick sucking lips and it's ok, but I make a joke with you and you have your machete out, ready to start a civil war?

Naija, I enjoy your posts. Here are my thoughts on your question (I think I'll make a very short list of qualities):

    1. Honesty - he must tell me the truth always, even if it means saying "yes you look fat in these pants" or "I think we need a break as I want to sow my wild oats". A man that can be that honest will have my utmost respect.

    2. Faithful 100% of everyday in every way. No emotional nor physical affairs EVER. If he steps out, he's gone.

    3. Loving & physical with me. Love PDA's (Public Displays of Affection) in good taste.

    4. Generous with his time and heart

    5. Volunteers or somehow enriches his community regularly

    6. Educated

    7. Willing to travel

    8. Enjoys sports, especially water & snow sports (my fav!)

    9. Easy to talk with and enjoys sharing or at least is willing to open up with me. Strong and Silent is not a turn on - rather have strong, soft and speaks.

    10. Loves animals and respects other humans - how we differ, how we are similar.

All of the things that I have listed encompass a very incomplete amount of qualities that I enjoy in a man and I, of course offer the same in return.

When you find a man with all of those qualities, let me take a picture with the Unicorn standing right next to him.

What you did is called ridiculing and you have done it more than once here you snidely mentioned someones African village somewhere and ridiculing isn't cool

Athena I love your posts though sweetheart. For you to seek out those qualities must mean you yourself are a great potential spouse.

You clearly are one of the dumb african americans and your obsession with letting people know you are in community college in almost every other thread makes you a dumbass .

All I said was I feel like I'm in Coming to America, there was no disrespect in that. It was a nice little documentary about your leader finding love in a new land, nothing to be ashamed of.

You on the other hand disrespected a young lady yesterday then defended your comments with "polite people online tend to be serial killers".

I didn't disrespect you or Africa, but you disrespected a young lady. Come on Rafiki,if you gonna dish it out,u should be able to take it (pause).

Appiah, you are the only one disrespecting groups of people. No one else said anything bad in here about Africans.

    Thank you!
I have what I consider flaws such as being demanding, in that I propose/suggest excellence in many things that I do and thus in my partner & the public (ahahahahah which is a huge pain in the butt) which can be a challenge. I think I can blame being in the military for that "gift" lol.

But hey, I am happy to accept my partner's issues if he accepts mine too :smt050
