When will white Americans be accepted?

I know that a variety of non-American white women and men are accepted in the black American community because they seem more exotic and cool or whatever but I think it's ridiculous. For example, I know a lot of black women find the white rapper Pitbull sexy just because he's Cuban but they wouldn't give other white men the time of day. Even in Jay-z's Girls, Girls, Girls, video where he tried to portray a diverse taste in women, he couldn't just say white chick, he said 'French chick' to emphasize her exoticness. It's probably due to the fact that some Latin or Mediterranean whites tend to be darker and sometimes have curly hair and what not. Also white Americans are seen by many as our evil counterparts even though Europeans(Spaniards, Portugeuse, French, English)have done the most damage to us as a people. But like I always say, 'I'm content with the women within my own culture', not to say that I would never date outside of my culture but I don't need a Mediterranean white girl to please anybody.

 

Isn't pitbull considered Hispanic? there are alot of Hispanic rappers in the game man. Paul Wall is loved in the black community and he is as white as they come. That is the whole point of the song "girlgirlsgirls" is to show he has girls all over the world. Saying just "I got white girls" doesn't get the point across.

 

Probably because foreign women are more open minded then americans.

 

yeah...its all culture...Paul Wall is considered hot by BW because even though he's white...he fits in with many blacks in a casual setting....a typical WM will not get much attention from a BW...but if that WM carries himself in a manner that is more reminiscent of a BM...he is good to go for BW.....even with BM...most "preppy" BM can get an average WW with more ease than a more "ghetto" BM (as they tend to get mainly ghetto WW)...people want mates who share their culture more than color..its just that the two C's tend to be related 90% of the time.

Eminem. Somewhat accepted by the black community; more so hip hoppers. He is a white American.



Bubba Sparxxx. Fairly reasonable amount of black "acceptance". He is a white American.

 

Well as I've repeated, Hispanic is an ethnicity and not a race, the guy is white, pink skin, blue eyes, and besides, he admits it himself. He's a white Cuban. I don't like how he uses the N word though, if Eminem did it black Americans would be trying to lynch him.

Well I didn't really clarify myself properly I guess. What I mean is, it's more accpeted to be with an Italian or Spanish girl than an white American girl.

 

Not really, a lot of people outside of the U.S. have as many stereotypes about us as we do about them...Which is human, but stupid nonetheless.

 

Fact is cats aren't looking at a white Cuban/puerto rican the same way they looking at a white American if that is what your trying to get at. Like somebody said earlier its more cultural than overall racial. Fat Joe says nigga alot and nobody fuckin cares, fuck J.Lo says nigga and still nobody cares. Yeah it maybe a double standard but were Iam from alot of Spanish kats is coming from the same area and conditions as alot of blacks and people be saying nigga like it ain't no thang.

Well of course it is. I think that's because Italians and Spanish women don't have the same history as the really "white Americans" do. Many "white Americans" still have the KKK history in their families. The slave-ownership history too. Not saying Italians don't have the racist "moulie" (sp?) lingo in their blood but I guess it's not as prevalent as the other. Maybe like you said DJ, it's the physical characteristics too; curly hair, darker eyes, darker hair(naturally isn't blonde), and things of that nature. Or like Taye said, there's a good amount that come from the hood, so they've experienced what it's like to live in a f-ed up place that blacks stay in.

white americans are europeans not just anglo saxon. Irish are celtic, they are white too, Italians, spanish, portuguese, russians, polish, czechs, germans, scandanavians, french, swiss, austrians, albanians.

 

i think alot of people have misconstrued your topic, i think its harder for white women to be seen as accepted in black media because black media is owned by white men and run by black women, thats why your able to get people like bubba sparxx and eminem even justin timberlake or jon b yet you never get any white female equivalents. joss stone is a rare exception but i hear some stations wont play her music, although they will play justin timberlake or bubba sparxx.

if you say you are dating a white woman and make her out to be from somewhere foreighn, then you dont get as much hate. because bm still have a stigma attached to their relationships if they date a white woman they have to make her sound as "unwhite" as they can to reduce any possible haterising thrown their way.

Well yeah in the U.S. a lot of them live in the same neighborhoods as black Americans and what not but if you look at the big picture they have it better than blacks, compare a black Latin Americans life to a non-black Latin Americans life.

It's just like Carlos Flores(Afro-Puerto Rican Activist) said, a lot of Latinos(white and brown ones) in the U.S. want to come together with African Americans to combat the racism of the U.S. but at the same time they want to keep their own racism hidden and as long as African Americans are uneducated on the subject it will remain that way. That's why Luis Gilberto Murillo(Afro-Colombian Activist)went to NY to give speeches and make black Americans aware of their existance(he said most didn't know that they exist).

Yeah, you know exactly what I'm talking about. A lot of the black women in my family would say that dating a white woman is slapping our race in the face after what they've done to us. But although many white girls outside of the U.S. come from countries who's racial history is just as brutal, it doesn't pertain to black Americans so I guess they overlook it.

Well the nationality doesn't really matter. If Ricky Martin(aka Ricky Martinez)says nigga I would feel uncomfortable. But if Tego Calderon said it I wouldn't care cuz he's black, Ricky is white. Coming from a different country doesn't make u no longer white....I think that to black Americans only white Americans are white.

 

I think that this is true. American history seems to only affect Americans, unlike foreign history, but our history also affects foreigners, like their own history.
