Where do you find yourself moving to wards?

When I look at the year of 2008, I’ve dated quite a few Women while residing in the States. The ones in which I’ve embarked falls within two categories:

• Those who are heavily into African American Heritage however not intrigued by it if Hip Hop Music was the only source of reference.

• Those who are fascinated with Englishmen and stay within the European lifestyle or fond of our customs due to not having any family ties to Europe.

I tend to find myself moving more to wards two for, while I am living in the States, my upbringing is British. I offer no characteristics of being American other than living in the States. I never converted to the American traits like many do once leaving their homeland. I would be nothing more than an impostor in doing so.

With everyone on this board dating outside their complexion, where do you stand on the matter?

While leniency is in order, there is a limit. How many of you know your limits?

 

I do. The hip-hop wigger chick is not for me. You know you're getting laid because of your British accent, keep it up.

 

That is true American WW love a accent in a brother whether its from the UK or the Caribbean. Keep it up since it works for you.

 

Surely, if you travelled outside the States many Women would find your American accent attractive. Bear in mind we are drawn upon ones appearance first. That is what strikes our attention. Speech pattern will not be taking into consideration until words are spoken. I would be easily noticed sipping on a spot of Tea while walking down the street than my speech pronunciation.

It is far more than an accent. How two individuals can relate to moral and ethical values plays a factor here. The co-incision of their upbringing will bring better next of kin amongst two parties. Understanding what a person is saying but having difficulty relating to their thoughts is what I find most bothersome.

There needs to be more than physical attraction to make any relationship work. It is usually those little things we tend not to notice when admiring one’s physical attribute for the first time that confirms such a desire will never escalate beyond the first date.

Sorry, an American accent abroad is nothing compared to a British accent here. It also doesn't help that Brits are thinner and better-dressed than us. If an American has good taste in clothes he's automatically considered gay (see: John Legend, Kanye) =P

 

I can see how it could be, but it's not always. I see a well dressed dude and my first thought isn't "He's gay", but I also have an impeccable gaydar. It's more mannerisms and speech that make my gaydar start going off. Well dressed guys is the shit.

I can vouch for the Caribbean accent. There's just SOMETHIN bout it I :heart:.

Having a very clean cut appearance and, being classed as gay is something you tend to ignore. Just because I’m from Europe doesn’t mean I’m the exception to the rule when moving about in NYC. The women that assume I’m gay are not my type and, the ones who are don’t assume I’m gay. I am not walking down the street chatting up a storm you know. I am classed based on my appearance firstly, like everyone else.

I was dating a model a few years ago and, she told me: “There are more thug gays than, pretty boy gays.” I was taken back by her comments and, asked her how did she know? Her response was: “Trust me, I know.”
