Where is the Racial Harmony E?

    Has anyone tried e Harmony?
I work with some people that speak highly of it so I thought I'd see just how far we've come... These were same race types of people but what would old “e” have for my lost soul??? I never saw a IR match from the Harmony ads but it's 2006.

Now I don't want to seem like the “Conspiracy Brother” but I listed my race as African American and I checked damn near every race on the planet and I checked that I would “meet” anyone [woman] from any country.[For the record I checked all but Muslim and Middle Eastern]

I got 8 matches before I logged off and I got a few “I want to meet you” e-mails in less than 2 hours.
Guess how many were from women of other races...

They gave me a “self profile” and I'm allegedly a good guy [read: Women want you!]
    Okay.
I go back change my “every race” input and after I get a helpful but esoteric message about not doing that, my Mr. Good Guy self now has a total of no matches.

All of the free women in the world and I go from Hero to Zero with a click of a button.... It seems odd to me for some reason.

Maybe I have too much free time.
    Am I wrong??

I also checked out eHarmony, and un-checked out of it immediately for essentially the same reason as you! They try and sell you on the idea that you should be searching based on personality & compatibility, not any ethnic or physical criteria. That's a wonderful philosophy, but that's asking a lot of our American mentality....and yes, it is a bit discriminatory if you choose to look at it that way. I just choose not to use them

Sorry, eHarmony, but if I wanted to date bald white men 5" shorter than me, I would need your site now would I?

Hey bro. Don't let the TV ads fool you remember this is America and the media only shows what they want you to think....... 8)

I do the eharmony thing because women of substance are hard to come by in America. Eharmony is an excellent tool in narrowing down white, asian, spanish, etc. women of substance. I have only been on it for a week and TRUST ME WHEN I SAY, YOU CAN MOST DEF GET YOUR IR ON. I am living proof as it is working for me.......

The internet is not a prolific place to find someone anyway.

Agreed it is best to meet people in person.

    Hey, hey, hey.......
I truly understand where you guys are coming from, this is a crazy world and you have to be cautious of the looney tunes, I get that. But I am telling you that a lot of good and pretty women with substance are not out and about. A lot of these women will not be in a club or your typical social gathering, you have to use other strategic ways to find them. Remember, a lot of people on here are busy professionals and the only way to meet people is online. Look at our cases on this site.......you meet a lot of good people on here. Ohh, I still hold my stance, Eharmony is the bomb! Beleive that fellas.

    I agree 100 %.
While I don't think that the Internet should be the ONLY place one looks to meet people, I have found that meeting ppl online has allowed me to meet many interesting ppl that I would not have met otherwise.

Since I saw the commercial I could tell they weren't exactly advertising to people who were looking for IR.

Again, bro. I am telling you from EXPERIENCE, not speculation, but HARDCORE EXPERIENCE. I have had nothing but a good experience from Eharmony. A lot of women on that site are spiritual, caring, loving and of substance, depending on the type of women you are looking for that is. On top of that, you are matched by personality, which makes it that much easier to find what you want for the long term. Then again, this is only from my experience. Now don't get me wrong, you WILL see women on there that you want and they WILL reject you in some cases. Trust and believe that you will get your fair share of rejection too because that comes with the territory, it's part of life. Remember, only believe half what you see, none of what you hear. The media makes it look like people only stay with their own, but that isn't always the case......

^^^ Do that and let us know what you come up with.

Update: I've found many matches so I believe Nilan has a point.

I really do have too much free time.

This thread really confirms to me that perception is reality.

Neither are bars, restaurants, supermarkets, jazz clubs, churches, street corners, casinos, pubs, and the like. Nothing is guaranteed, because at the end of the day, you're communicating with another human being ... computer or not.
