I sent Sean Hannity a letter on his idol Ronald Reagan using the teleprompter. It was reported that initially world leaders were impressed with Reagan on his command of the facts without looking at his notes until it was revealed that he used a device called the teleprompter. He (Hannity) like to make fun of Obama's use of the teleprompter. Thought I needed to remind him of a little history.
Excellent. For many years, i used to be a moderate/liberal Republican in the style of Rockefeller and Eisenhower until i realized that the Republicans have simply become devoid of any real substance, tolerance and ideas. And don't even get me started on the Democrats. I mean, I did consider switching to the Democratic Party but the Democrats have no spine and don't really stand for anything either. So I decided to exercise the best gift American democracy offers i.e. independence. Today, i'm a registered independent voter. I'm still the radical centrist i always have been. I'm socially liberal/fiscally moderate, but definitely not a knee-jerker. I consider issues based on the situation, timeframe and context. I mostly vote for Dem candidates now, but have voted for Repubs in the past and certainly won't rule it out yet. I voted for Charlie Crist in the governor's race in my state, but voted for Bill Nelson in our Senate race as well as Obama for president. Ultimately, i believe that we as Americans will be better served by our "representatives" when we exercise a bit more restraint and independent rather than as rubber stamps.
yeah Jesse been speakin the truth to power these days. IMO, he's saying what a lot of people believe but either are too afraid to say or don't have the mantlepiece to lay it out on. The more we listen to dudes like that or better, elect them, the better off we will be.
