White, but not Black...Black, but not White...But never both

Last night, i had a dream about a girl that i used to have a class with here on campus. Of course, i don't know how or why we have dreams the way that we do (memories of old things), but when i think about it, i really liked her a lot. Unfortunately i never told her that though. Anyway, I know that i'm on WWBM.com, but as some of you know, i like white and black girls equally (she was a black girl). A while ago, there would be periods of time when i liked one, and not the other so much, and the other way around, but my mind absolutely would not let me like them both at the same time for some strange reason. I've found a nice balance since then, but have any of you guys ever experienced anything similar to this?? You know, why do you think that it was so hard for me to like white and black girls equally, and at the same time?? Do you think it has something to do with some kind of mental suppression that a few of you guys are always talking about, and do you think that this could be part of the reason why some of you guys date exclusively one race over the other right now and not both?? Let me know if you don't understand the question clearly okay. I'll try to re-word it a little better.

I don't think it has anything to do with mental suppression but mental "ATTENTION"! I mean if your ONLY attracted to black girls than that determines who your going to fantasize about/what magazines your going to look and gawk at lol and who and what features your going to be looking for! Also it depends on who your around in your environment. I mean you could easily go-ogle Kerry Washington as you could Jessica Simpson. Its same thing if your only attracted to white girls! so what happens when you see a beautiful bi-racial woman with both black and white features? lol

Also your don't really need to over analyze it either lol

It's the outside influencing factors determining it all for you. As far as attraction ... when you're in the moment, or when you're aroused, horny, or whatever (for lack of better word), you are attracted to that woman alone. Whether she's Black or white it doesn't make a difference. You just want to do something with her, whoever it is. The fact that their races are different yields your mind to acknowledge their differences. And the tainted teachings from the past that you have been taught about both races comes into play when you're with them. Those biases against the white race are implemented when you're with the Black woman and different biases against the Black race when you're with the white woman.

    Here's my confession ... :(

    Example: case in point

When I'm looking at Maria Menounos, I forget all about Black women. It's not that I hate them when I'm looking at a white woman, but all my attention is on a white woman. Therefore my attention has been taken away from the Black woman for the time being. And vice versa when I'm looking at the many Black women I'm attracted too. When I'm looking at a Black woman, I think of how flat white women's booties are. When I'm looking at a white woman I see how their hips promptly tapers to their back <~ How else can I explain my attraction to an otherwise considered unattractive flat booty? It's either one or the other.

Then my question for you is what are you thinking when you see a black girl and a white girl together who both have a similar body shape? I have seen plenty of skinny black girls with big breasts and no behind, just curious. Also what about the shades of Grey like multi-racial backgrounds or even when you can't tell the identity of the girl off hand.

Here's another example of what i mean. Whenever i see a black girl that i think is really good looking and attractive, later on, if i decide to check out any dating sites or anything like that, i tend to look specifically for black girls. It's the same thing with white girls. If i see a really fine and attractive white girl somewhere on campus or even on t.v., i'll typically go to the dating sites where i can find white girls. It's a really weird thing. Taye, and Who's the Boss, thanks for answering my question. Actually, Who's the Boss, the answer that you gave sounds VERY similar to what i was talking about. I knew that it had to be some outside determining factors or something that was making me think that way.

That's why i asked if this could be the reason why some guys date exclusively one over the other and not both, because they're having some of the same problems liking black and white women at the same time? It's really easy liking a combination of latin and black women (and bi-racial women), or white and latin women (and bi-racial women), but the really tricky part comes when you're trying to like specifically white and black women at the same time for some strange reason. Maybe those tainted teachings from the past definitely come into play in this.

Black women and latin women don't look alike either, but we both know that it's easier to like latin women and black women at the same time.

I see where you're goin' with this, but here's my take:

I never feel conflicted within myself to find white and black women equally attractive, because I have already made up my mind about what preference I have a long time ago, so there isn't any conflict within myself about it. Also, if you find yourself to be conflicted, then there maybe specific reasons for that such as:

    1. You not being able to decide between white and black women

    2. You not really finding one more attractive than the other

    3. You not really finding one more attractive than the other in regards to specific features of both types of women

    4. Society brainwashing you to feel conflicted, or make a final decision about both types of women(undoubtedly their choice would be black women)

    5. You possibly being impressionable

    6. All of the above?

Overall, it's entirely up to you to be with whom you choose to be with, and not someone else because they want to test your 'loyalty to the race' or some other kind of crap like that.

I'm not attracted to Black women who are built like white woman or talk like white woman. And no I don't equate proper to white. I know a lot of proper talking Black people who don't sound white.

As far as multi-racial backgrounds it just depends.

    It just depends... you say?

what does it just depend on?

    Oh and for the record...

Flat Asses come in all colours. AppleBottom Bootys come in all colours too. With the invention of silicon... Tits can come in many different sizes, shapes, and firmness.

Hmmm....i'm surprised that this one resurfaced after all this time. Oh well.... I just wanted to add something very important to this. Although my mind, as well as my interests are constantly shifting, i lied a little on this one. I'm not attracted to bw & ww equally. I got a little carried away with the overall topic, and i exaggerated....sorry! I DO have a preference, and it is to date outside of my race. Doesn't necessarily have to be white, but definitely outside of my race. I definitely have to eat my words on this one! I'm not wishy washy or anything, it was just one of those things you know.

Umm...but if she IS a black woman with a flatter booty, she is still a BLACK woman. So how can a black woman ever be built 'like' a white woman? I know what you are trying to say, but she is just built like herself!!! It's a bit harsh...
