why stare??

My question is, why do poeple, even guys stare at a black guy as he walks down the street with no shirt on? Its hard for me to uderstand why a guy would stare HARD, at another guy...maybe im being paranoid??..

I see white guys walking around with no shirt on, none of them are remotely as ripped as me, and they hardly ever get the attention i do when i do something as simple as walk through the park with no shirt on, as sweat drips down my chest.

To the ladies on here, why do you think ppl stare at shirtless black men so gotdamn much??

Why do some white men even give me dirty looks while looking at my ripped abs??...i dont get it.

 

Because anyone walking down the street without a shirt looks like a fool, that is why.

I don't get it... the only place I can maybe understand it is when you're out jogging.

 

Lmao, you sound just like my mother. :lol: I remember when i was a kid growing up in Nigeria, whenever my mom used to send me outside to do something, if i never wore a shirt, she'd hit me telling me that only irresponsible men do not wear shirts when they go out.

About my own views, i do not necessarily attach any views towards it. Hey, i live in South Beach and that kind of thing is not uncommon. I do not do it myself unless i'm on the beach (and i get people staring at moi 8) ) but to each his own.

I don't even think it's OK when you're jogging.

The only places it's ok to not wear a shirt is at the beach or in your own garden.

no shirt is great at the beach...the pool...the volleyball court...where people would expect to see you without a shirt...

That is one of the craziest things I've ever heard. And the thought actually puts down black men - if white males weren't racist and depraved (some are, most aren't) then ww wouldn't be with bm? doesn't the comment put black males in a position of white women only being with them b/c there is supposedly something wrong with thier own race?

Seems like the wm who stare and give dirty looks are just as likely thinking what everyone else on this thread have stated - unless you're on the beach or playing a sport, you look like fool walking around without a shirt on.

As far as the last post, I don't agree with it at all.I'm as black as the Ace of Spades and I don't think for one second that people would stare at me while shirtless for any other reason than it being inappropriate.There's nothing racist about it at all.
Furthermore, it doesn't even logically follow that a person's sexual orientation is going to drive them to randomly stare at other people just because they are shirtless.That's absurd.

The bottom line is that the women have answered the post, regardless of whether or not it was what the poster wanted to read.They were just being honest.

 

wedlock, i see where you coming from buddy,,,but you should understand that if i were a white man with a flabby body, no one would even stare at me, let alone give me dirty looks. In fact i get dirty looks from white men even when im wearing a "wife beater.."....aint that absurd??..

Its not like i walk around the streets shirtless,,but when im at the park or w/e,,,i remove my shirt ,because its HOT out....and id rather keep my shirt dry, thank you very much..

Another thing i noticed is that,,,women and men with HOT bodies, tend to admire a shirtless black guy with ripped abbs,,,its always the ones with no-so-hot bodies that have a problem..lol...Its not my fault your wife is looking me,,,damn,,....

You probably are getting some dirty looks simply b/c you are a hot black guy walking around without a shirt on - jealousy is jealousy. And if you are walking around in a wife beater, that is only marginally better b/c then you portraying that fifty cent thug look (hey, even if you don't want to - you can't argue that a stereo type is a stereo type)

But don't act like you don't want attention drawn to that hot body when you take off your shirt - if you're going to be an exhibitionist, then be ready for people who like it and people who don't...

I generally don't walk around without a shirt on but of course when i hit the beach, i mostly get winks, smiles and stares from the ladies 8) (i'm sure i'm posted my pic b4). Now whether fellas give me ugly looks, i don't know and more importantly, i don't care.
