They will literally be shocked to death.

I wonder if the record-sharing provisions of the ACA will make it possible to alert law enforcement when someone is prescribed anti-psychotics.

    No pun intended.

Which is probably also by design Petty. The more "crazies" out there with guns the more "sane" people want them.

Ore I totally agree and I think its because those ethnic whites either remember or reminded of how bad it was for them when they first got there. As long as they have blacks and hispanics to be the wedge between them oppression they'll fight like hell to keep them there even though the more logical plan would be to go at the oppression itself, but no one accused the human race of actually being intelligent we just assume it.

    Nope pun totally intended lol

What I don't get is why are they still using live rounds with civilians. Why not rubber bullets? Most interactions don't require the other person to be dead especially when they're unarmed.

The ACA is just access to private, subsidized health insurance (verified by wages) as far as I know. There are no record sharing provisions. I could be wrong :-o

I see where ur getting at tho, as far as the government trying to centralize everything for easy access and cross referencing

The stigmas and societal rejections are just more reasons why many people don't seek care. Having official records of mental health can bar you from fields which involve using firearms and others....so yeah people would just refuse treatment and be even nuttier with guns

Damn, there's got to be a better way than the current lax system.

Totally. You'd think that, unless they are called for a drug bust, armed robbery, etc, that they would have like a "civil disturbance" kit for non-lethal force: rubber bullets, beanbag/wood block rounds, etc.

Exactly. I get cops are often in bad situations but does everything have to equal death? Is there really no middle ground and if not then we might as well say fuck it and just go straight to the Mad Max scenario of life.

Yeah. Like why is death always the only option they have to choose from? They need some more tools in their toolkit.

But then you have to wonder do they (the powers that be) want more tools in the toolkit?
Look how easily they've warped the minds of the public. You actually have people arguing that it was ok for Eric Garner's situation to have ended in death because he was selling cigarettes (which they never found btw)

The implicit meaning in those statements is "he was just a black guy, what's the big deal?" when you can kill someone for a municipal violation that normally results in a ticket and not even find the proof of a violation and yet kill the suspect?

    Exactly
It has really changed my mind on the whole idea of justice and what it really means. It's also given me a lot of hope because the whole world is crying out over this bs. Sometimes its really easy to fall into the mindset that the entire world hates us but its far being true, the vocal minority works overtime to make us believe that shit though.

Because the US treats the rest of the world much the way they treat us domestically. They are usually at least partially sympathetic until they get a steady diet of US media and spend a few months over here.

The demonization of black bodies is mind blowing at times. The hatred is so unfounded and usually brings me back to that Eleanor Roosevelt quote people don't really need a reason to hate you. So you're better off living life the best way you see fit.
Sometimes I watch these sci-fi movies where aliens or an AI take over and create a hive mind and think why is that always viewed as evil. Apparently independent thought is not working out for us as a whole.

Who said they were thinking? Lol

The hatred is ridiculous and wholly unfounded. I love how people who worked for free with no rights or compensation for 300 years become "lazy" and people who were too terrified to fight back against oppression en masse become "violent".

Or like it was explained in American Gangster by Richie Roberts, about what a person represents, especially a black man who is successful.

"What you represent is progress. A progress that they don't want to see."

Because organisms always choose the path of least resistance to the point where we delude ourselves to what is true.
It's far easier to blame the oppressed than those who oppress because the oppressed can do little to truly affect your life.
The oppressors control nearly all facets of your life expect for your thoughts ironically.

Even if Frank Lucas was not in the drug game, he had the right business acumen and he wouldn't even have to worry about dealing with others like the police, Don Catano and Nicky Barnes. He would've been the most powerful man on the East coast and he'd tell a lot of folks to kiss his ass.

I think Mayor de Blasio is an example of what NYC needs. In regards to the NYPD... They're pissed because someone (in power) has finally dared to call them out on some of their BS. The NYPD union leader (and others) are twisting the mayor's words in regards to his talk with his son. The mayor simply had the talk that most of us get in our younger years, and he was right to do so. Others are twisting the mayor's words into saying the his son should be afraid of the police.

The NYPD has been getting away with abuse (and more) for years, and now that the pressure is on them (with a myaor, not declaring them innocent), they're acting like they've been betrayed. I've told many that the people simply want to be treated fairly, and for the police to be held accountable when they stray outside of the law.
