A Political Rant: I'm in a neverending personal war with family, friends, and yes strangers who take the exception to my political views and outlooks. At one time I was convinced it was because of my interracial marriage. but the more I studied the circumstances and context of conversations I have had with others that relates to the black experience and to be critical about "any aspects" of that experience that is negative like irresponsible fatherhood, welfare dependency, out of wedlock births, lack of educational initiative, black on black crime slaughter, etc.... I get the proverbial " You Must hate Your Own". I'm tired of it. Like Dr. Ben Carson (world renown black neurosurgeon) said the other day, "there comes a time when people need to wake up and see the world falling around them". I may have and will continue to have people who will hate my guts, BUT I do not give a damned. I will keep on speaking my mind on the politics. I hope many of YOU on this site have a similar view. I do not give a shit about rating points or acceptance if it means I must be afraid to speak my mind, even here. - Blacktiger
I have been asked questions like, "Why don't you like black girls?" Or , "Why do you watch white shows on tv and not black shows?" Or,"What do you see in white girls?" The list goes on. I answer all these questions. But it seems my answers are not enough and they feel I am betraying, or insulting them or their sensibilties. I have learned long ago to walk alone like Qui Chang Caine and look out for myself. l will not be a crab in the bucket. I will go my own way.
If you are a black person and you are coming at anything dealing with the black community/experience from a position as an outsider looking in, especially if you are someone who has never lived in a largely black/minority community, chances are you will get told that very thing. Especially if all you do is complain about the state of the black community and do not offer up any viable solutions to problems or proactively take steps to help in some way. Doubly so if you are perceived as not genuinely caring about the black community/experience and are just "concerned" because of how you are perceived as a black person based on what negative things other black people do by non blacks that you associate with.
There are legitimate reasons to criticize some of the actions that are ongoing within certain communities, especially when they often hold a lackadaisical approach regarding their futures. However, to simply criticize a community will only fuel the flames even more and reinforce some stupid stereotype which perpetuates not just communities, but an entire group as a whole. It will require a major overhaul in the psychology of the human race to curb some level of it, but also, speaking strictly to the lackadaisical part of the black community, they need to eliminate some structured institutionalized mindsets which shackles them from reaching their full potential and be able to advance themselves and the communities they were brought up under.
Well said, per the bolded part above, irresponsible fathers are despicable, but one rarely hears criticism of the women who chose such unworthy men to be fathers.
why so hostile? if you act like this in real life you shouldn't be surprised to recieve a negative reaction. everyday black ppl see and hear negative images of themselves, this after centuries of degradation. maybe they arev tired of that and want some positivety.
If some ask me the question on WW I would reply I love WW with a shape of a BW like a 36C-23-36 frame. Plus, had they asked that question to Black Women? I doubt that.
They used to strictly outlaw black people educating themselves. With social engineering you can make a people not want to educate themselves. Black people have been socially engineered, and most black entertainers spew garbage compared the jazz, blues, and early twentieth century black artists. Also most of the behind the scenes funders, investors, and producers of these rap artists are white males. Ignorance is Strength Freedom is Slavery War is Peace George Orwells 1984 describes the social Engineering in the black commmunity. Especiallly in regards to convincing black people to act against their own self interest. Also by making intellect seem like "being white/not being one of us." Truly serves no ones interest but the white mans. I have to give white people props on their social engineering abilities, propaganda, and mass communication.
I just see so much more positivity in the Black community than things to criticize. There's no way to ignore the poverty, crime, drug addiction and lack of education, but is that really a majority of Black folk?? I don't think so.
True. That's why I typed the post that I did because the Black people who seem to do the most criticizing of the Black community in my experience (and basically nothing else in terms of the Black community) usually are Black people who don't & never have lived in "the Black Community" and so don't see the positive that's there. They see what everyone else outside of the Black community sees, the negative that certain elements in society want to highlight and pass off as the normal default status quo of the Black community and for Black people as a whole.
Where are the fathers? Taking a page from your playbook and living their lives. They are not role models. It's not their responsibility to give a fuck. If it's okay for you as a "black man" to not give a fuck about others in the black community why the fuck are you mad at other black men doing the same basic shit your ass is doing? Them not giving a fuck does not effect your ass in anyway. You are successful. So go and continue to do the important, responsible & constructive things in life that you do like letting some allegedly hot white woman lick your ass........
The same people who bitch about the problems of urban Blacks are the ones who want voter ID. Plus they don't give a rat's butt. You see people like Harrow on Fox News like on the Hannity show.
