We are definitely NOT in a post-racial era. I'm not surprised by any of this, but this is sickening. One reply to this article is so succinct.

"The young GOP is just showing itself to be so out of step with the world, so lost in whatever animosities they hold against Obama and the direction the world is going, that they have nothing to say. So they are resorting to hatred and animosity, which will not fly with anyone with a semblance of common sense and intelligence. The GOP, at all levels, seems to have sunk to the bottom. They are so far into the wilderness that the sun doesn't shine on them anymore. They are sounding like some far-out, nutty wing party, not the party of Lincoln or even regular Republicans...Let them self-destruct. What rises in their place will be better, and they'll be better for the lessons learned. Recreating oneself is the most American of traits, after all!"

"You see, their morals, their code, it's a bad joke. Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. I'll show you. When the chips are down, these... these civilized people, they'll eat each other."
